That which exists is the fifth uninterrupted karma of the son of the gods, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in such a way that he does not abide, he will quickly realize the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the ultimate sense, and will realize perfect and complete enlightenment in a way that he does not realize perfect and complete enlightenment. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, by what uninterrupted karma do foolish ordinary beings go to the hell of sentient beings? If a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in that uninterrupted karma, will he realize the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment in a way that he does not realize perfect and complete enlightenment? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, there is. Why is that? Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly empty. Son of the gods, understanding profound emptiness is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are without characteristics. Son of the gods, understanding the absence of characteristics is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly without aspiration. Son of the gods, understanding the absence of aspiration is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly ungraspable. Son of the gods, understanding profound ungraspability is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly non-manifesting accumulation. Son of the gods, understanding profound non-manifesting accumulation is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly unconditioned. Son of the gods, understanding profound unconditionality is enlightenment, but in the ultimate sense, enlightenment is not as it is spoken of. Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, all dharmas are profoundly invisible. Son of the gods, understanding profound invisibility is enlightenment.

That is, in terms of ultimate truth, enlightenment is not as it is said. Son of the gods, in terms of ultimate truth, all dharmas are extremely unborn. Manjushri said: Son of the gods, in terms of ultimate truth, even the Tathagata is not approached through belief, what need to mention the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and all the Tirthikas with signs? Son of the gods said: Who will admire it? Manjushri said: Whoever, in terms of ultimate truth, is not attached to any dharma, will admire it. Son of the gods said: And who will strive?

In the ultimate sense, there is actually no birth, no arising, and no existence of things; they will abide in that. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how will they proceed? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, there is actually no birth, no arising, and no existence of things; they will proceed in that. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, will the irreversible Bodhisattva Mahasattvas attain enlightenment? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, it is not possible for the irreversible Bodhisattva Mahasattvas not to attain enlightenment; there is no opportunity. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, from what will the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas turn back? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, in the ultimate sense, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas actually turn back from all discriminations. They turn back from the grounds of all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and from the grounds of the Tirthikas who have signs. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, from what will the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas not turn back? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas do not turn back from the equality of all phenomena being utterly unborn. Why is that? In the ultimate sense, all phenomena are equal in being utterly unborn, therefore the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas are equal; therefore, they do not turn back. The son of the gods said: The equality of all phenomena being utterly unborn, Manjushri, what dharma is that a synonym for? Manjushri said: All phenomena being utterly unborn and equal, son of the gods, that is a synonym for non-manifoldness in the ultimate sense. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, why does the equality of all phenomena being utterly unborn appear as manifold? Manjushri said: If, son of the gods, one completely clings to essence, things, and nature in the ultimate sense with respect to the equality of all phenomena being utterly unborn, then they will appear as manifold in the ultimate sense. When they appear as manifold in the ultimate sense, many views with signs will arise. Due to these many views with signs, beings will wander involuntarily in various different states. If, son of the gods, one does not cling to nature, essence, and things in the ultimate sense with respect to the equality of all phenomena being utterly unborn, then they in the
