Ah! World Honored One Buddha, it is wonderful that all the Buddhas who have realized the equality of all dharmas manifest in various Buddha-fields in order to fully ripen sentient beings! Ananda, for example, although the qualities of the Buddha-fields vary, there is no difference between the Buddha-fields covered by bird paths and the sky. Similarly, Ananda, although the form bodies of the Tathagatas vary, the unattached wisdom of the Tathagatas is not different. Ananda, all Buddhas' forms, colors, radiance, bodies, names, noble lineages, discipline, samadhi, wisdom, liberation, the vision of the wisdom of liberation, powers, fearlessnesses, Buddha's dharmas, great love, great compassion, thoughts of benefiting others, conduct, behavior, paths, life spans, teaching the Dharma, fully ripening sentient beings, liberating sentient beings, completely purifying the fields, and all the completely perfect Buddha dharmas are the same. Therefore, they are called Perfectly Complete Buddhas, called Tathagatas, called Buddhas. Ananda, the extensive meaning of these three words and the distinction of the words, even if you live for an eon, it is not easy to fully understand. Among the sentient beings belonging to the three thousand great thousands of worlds, Ananda, you are the most supreme among those who are as learned, mindful, and have obtained dharani as you are. Even all those sentient beings like Ananda cannot fully understand the meaning of the three words Perfectly Complete Buddha, Tathagata, and Buddha even in an eon. Ananda, therefore, the enlightenment of the Buddha is immeasurable, and the wisdom and fearlessness of the Tathagatas are inconceivable. Then, the venerable Ananda said to the World Honored One: World Honored One, from now on, I am the foremost in learning.

One should not make a vow. The Blessed One said: "Kungawo, do not generate a shrinking mind. Why is that? Kungawo, I said that you are the best of those who have heard much, considering the Shravakas, but it is not so among the Bodhisattvas. Kungawo, let alone the Bodhisattvas, they are not to be measured by the wise. Kungawo, the depth of all the oceans can be measured, but the depth of the wisdom, jnana, memory, dharani, and eloquence of the Bodhisattvas cannot be measured. Kungawo, you should be neutral towards the conduct of the Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Kungawo, what this Licchavi Vimalakirti showed in one morning is something that all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who have attained miraculous powers cannot show even in hundreds of thousands of billions of kalpas with all the miracles and transformations. Then, all those Bodhisattvas who had come from the Buddhafield of the Tathagata Shrestha Samcaya Supreme Accumulation of Incense) folded their palms and prostrated to the Tathagata and said these words: "Blessed One, we should abandon the actions of generating evil thoughts and keeping them in mind like this about this Buddhafield. Why is that? Blessed One, the Buddhafields and skillful means of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, are inconceivable, and in order to fully ripen all sentient beings, they show the field arrangement as they wish. Blessed One, even though we are in the world realm of all incense, Shrestha Samcaya Supreme Accumulation of Incense), please grant us a Dharma treasure that will make us remember the Blessed One." After they had prayed thus, the Blessed One said: "Son of good family, there is the liberation of the Bodhisattva, which is called exhaustible and inexhaustible. You should train in that. And what is that? What is called exhaustible is the conditioned. What is called inexhaustible is the unconditioned. Therefore, the Bodhisattva should not exhaust the conditioned, nor should he abide in the unconditioned.

O! So, inexhaustible conditioned phenomena are: not abandoning great love; not abandoning great compassion; with superior intention, truly holding, not forgetting the mind of omniscience; not being weary of maturing all sentient beings; not abandoning the objects of gathering; giving up body and life for the sake of upholding the sacred Dharma; not being satisfied with the roots of virtue; abiding in skillful dedication; having no laziness in seeking the Dharma; in teaching the Dharma, the teacher does not act stingy; looking at the Tathagata and diligently engaging in offerings; not being afraid of being born by choice; not being arrogant or submissive in prosperity and decline; not despising those who have not learned, and cherishing those who have become accustomed as if they were teachers; properly relying on those whose afflictions are increasing; delighting in solitude and not being attached to it; not being attached to one's own happiness, and being attached to the happiness of others; regarding meditation, samadhi, and absorption as like the Avici hell; regarding samsara as a pleasure garden and Nirvana as death; regarding beggars as pure spiritual friends; regarding the complete giving away of all possessions as perfecting omniscience; regarding those who have broken their vows as worthy of protection; regarding the perfections as parents; regarding the Dharmas of the path to enlightenment as master and servant; not being satisfied with all the accumulations of virtuous roots, and accomplishing the qualities of all Buddha-fields as one's own field; for the sake of fulfilling the excellent marks and signs, completely giving away endless offerings; not committing all sins, adorning body, speech, and mind; because body and speech are completely pure and mind is completely pure, wandering in countless kalpas; the Bodhisattva, even if he hears the immeasurable qualities of the Buddha, will not be timid; in order to defeat the enemy of afflictions, holding the sharp sword of wisdom; in order to bear the burden of all sentient beings, knowing all the aggregates, elements, and sources; in order to destroy the army of demons
