It is the superior intention of diligence. Since one does not taste the flavor of meditation, it is the superior intention of difficult-to-practice meditation. Since one does not revile the assembly of all roots of virtue, it is the superior intention of difficult-to-practice wisdom. It is the superior intention that is initiated for the purpose of accomplishing the affairs of all sentient beings and that places conduct under subjugation. Since it is well-distinguished by wisdom, it is the superior intention that is without pride, excessive pride, pride beyond pride, the pride of 'I am,' manifest pride, slight pride, and wrong pride. Since there is no expectation of return, it is the superior intention of the place of generosity for all sentient beings. In order to thoroughly contemplate the profound Dharma of the Buddha, it is the superior intention of not being timid. Since one goes by means of blessings, it is the superior intention of going in a special way. Since one liberates the burden that has been taken up, it is the superior intention of not being discouraged. Since one is constantly diligent, it is the superior intention of being inexhaustible. Furthermore, the so-called superior intention is trust in the earth spirits. Loving-kindness towards sentient beings. Thinking of benefiting the noble ones. Compassion towards those who are not noble. Respect for the gurus. Being a protector for those who have no protector. Being a refuge for those who have no refuge. Being an island for those who have no island. Being a guardian for those who have no guardian. Being a friend for those who have no friend. Being upright to the deceitful. Being clear to the rude. Being without deception to the cunning. Being without pretense to those who behave crudely. Being grateful to those who are ungrateful. Being aware of kindness to those who are ungrateful. Benefiting those who harm. Being truthful to those who are wrong. Being without pride to the arrogant. Not criticizing those who have done well. Not gossiping about the faults of others. Always protecting those who have gone astray. Not regarding as faults all those who practice virtue by means of skillful means. Serving the places of generosity. Accepting those who follow the teachings. Being happy with the instructions and those who follow the teachings. Treating those who dwell in solitude like brothers. Not seeking gain, respect, and praise.

Ravah. Not regarding body and life, and with pure superior intention, therefore there is no hypocrisy. Because speech is restrained, there is no flattery. Being content with one's own gains, there is no measurement by acquisition. Because the mind is not afflicted by defilements, it is capable. Having accumulated all roots of virtue, one does not fall into samsara. By looking at all sentient beings, one does not mind all suffering. Therefore, the superior intentions of those noble beings are inexhaustible, because they are firmly established by all merits, and because they nourish all sentient beings, and in order to truly accomplish inexhaustible wisdom, they cannot be exhausted by all the afflictions of samsara. Venerable son of Sharadvati, this is the inexhaustible superior intention of the Bodhisattvas. Then, the venerable son of Sharadvati said to the Bodhisattva Inexhaustible Wisdom: Son of good family, do Bodhisattvas have other inexhaustibles? Inexhaustible Wisdom said: Venerable son of Sharadvati, yes. The giving of Bodhisattvas is also inexhaustible. Why is that? Because it is immeasurable. Venerable son of Sharadvati, the complete giving of Bodhisattvas is also immeasurable, because it demonstrates life, courage, happiness, strength, and complexion. Therefore, they give food to those who desire food. In order to eliminate all afflictions and craving, they give drink to those who desire drink. In order to gather happiness and all objects of wealth, they give vehicles to those who desire vehicles. In order to perfect shame, modesty, and a complexion like the color of gold, they give clothes to those who desire clothes. In order to be able to fully see the divine eye of the Tathagata, they give lamps to those who desire lamps. In order to be able to completely purify the divine ear of the Tathagata, they give the sound of music to those who desire music. In order to anoint with the fragrance of discipline, learning, and samadhi, they give incense and ointment to those who desire incense and ointment. In order to obtain dharani, courage, and the flowers of the limbs of enlightenment
