To the assembly of Bodhisattvas, he taught the Sutra called "The Bodhisattva Pitaka," which dispels the doubts of all sentient beings. World Holder, at that time in that assembly, there was a Bodhisattva named Precious Light, who heard the explanation of the combination of aggregates, elements, sense bases, dependent origination, the four mindfulnesses, the five faculties, the eightfold noble path, worldly and transworldly dharmas, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. At that time, he practiced diligently, and for twenty million kotis of years, he never generated evil thoughts, never generated thoughts of desire, hatred, or delusion, nor thoughts of gain, fame, food, drink, clothing, or alms bowl. For the sake of entering into the combination of this dharma, he generated great diligence. World Holder, that Bodhisattva Mahasattva Precious Light practiced pure conduct in the teaching of the Bhagavan Jambu River Golden Mountain King for as long as his life lasted. After he passed away, he was reborn in that Buddha-field, and after passing away from youth, he was reborn in that Buddha-field and practiced pure conduct. In each of those kalpas, he took five hundred rebirths, and finally, when the Bhagavan Jambu River Golden Mountain King was near complete nirvana, at the end of the fifth kalpa, he obtained very much hearing, and the combination of the dharma of such true characteristics, and he remembered all the dharmas heard from that Buddha. Thus, endowed with the power of memory, he requested the Bhagavan, saying: Bhagavan, if I wish to extensively explain these categories of dharma, please grant me permission. In that very life, he established immeasurable and countless sentient beings in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. When the Bhagavan Jambu River Golden Mountain King passed into complete nirvana, the Bodhisattva Precious Light attended to protect the Dharma, until the Bhagavan completely

After transcending suffering, the sacred Dharma will remain for one kalpa. Within one kalpa, there will be five hundred births as a human, and having renounced the world, one will generate and increase the very essence of all dharmas. Furthermore, one will perform deeds of benefit and happiness for immeasurable and countless sentient beings. Like the Bodhisattva World Holder, Jewel Light, one will eventually meet countless thousands of Buddhas, and ultimately be prophesied by the Buddha of Immeasurable Light. After countless kalpas, one will then be prophesied to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. During those countless kalpas, one will also meet hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhas. Thereafter, one will manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, becoming the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, complete with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, unsurpassed, tamer of beings, teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan, named "Unfailing Ornament of All Meaning," with a retinue of Bodhisattvas immeasurable and countless. The retinue of Shravaka Sangha is also countless. The lifespan of that Buddha is also two kalpas. That Buddha's field is exceedingly blissful and adorned with supreme ornaments. World Holder, therefore, those Bodhisattvas who desire to be exceedingly skilled in the practice of these dharmas should diligently study, recite, and strive in these dharmas. Furthermore, those Bodhisattvas, great beings, who desire to attain the practice of these dharmas should be exceedingly diligent in four dharmas. What are the four? They are: renouncing the world from household life, dwelling alone, purity of discipline, and completely eliminating the mind of laziness. Bodhisattvas who possess these four dharmas, who are diligent in extensive learning and dwell happily in patience, will quickly encounter four dharmas. What are the four? They are: being born in the center of Jambudvipa, meeting a Buddha, and practicing the Dharma.
