Those with defilements are born and transmigrate again and again in hells, among animals, hungry ghosts, gods, and humans. Because they are bound by samsara, they dwell and cling to samsara, not abandoning it, not forsaking it, not cutting it off. They also do not know the true nature of the five aggregates. Because they do not know the nature of reality, they are tormented by various kinds of suffering, falling into the abyss of the unreal, and not knowing the path to liberation. Because that person does not know the path to liberation in this way, they take birth in the stream of samsara from beginningless time. Therefore, they are not liberated from birth, old age, sickness, death, lamentation, sorrow, and suffering. They are not liberated from the immeasurable precipice of samsara. They are not liberated from the great mass of suffering. Again, they dwell and cling to suffering, clinging intensely to suffering, and are controlled by suffering. What is suffering? It is the five aggregates of clinging. At the time of birth, suffering arises. At the time of cessation, suffering also ceases. The World Protector, I, by that cause and that condition, taught the Dharma to the disciples in this way: Monks, contemplate the aggregate of form as it truly is. Know the characteristic of impermanence of form as it truly is. If you become attached to form, immediately eliminate and cut it off. You and others should contemplate feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness as they truly are. Know the characteristic of impermanence of feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness as it truly is. If you become attached to feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness, immediately eliminate and cut it off. By eliminating and cutting off attachment, the mind will be truly liberated. The World Protector, whoever understands the meaning of the Dharma I have spoken and diligently practices as I have said, will be liberated from birth, old age, sickness, death, lamentation, sorrow, and suffering. Whoever does not practice and cultivate as I have said...

Bound by the bonds of form, bound by the bonds of craving, attached to the five aggregates of clinging due to being blinded by ignorance. That person, being attached to the five aggregates of clinging, is not liberated from the precipice of samsara. World-holder, therefore, worldly people argue with me, but I do not argue with worldly people. What is called the world? It is attachment to the five aggregates of clinging that is called the world. That person, being attached to the five aggregates and bound by the five aggregates, does not know the nature of the five aggregates. Not knowing that the characteristic of the five aggregates is emptiness, they argue with me. That person acts contrary to what the Buddha has said, and by arguing with the Buddha, they will fall into great terror. Whoever realizes that whether the Tathagata remains in the world or passes into complete nirvana, there is nothing true or empty in the five aggregates, but that they arise from perversion, ignorance, and false conceptualization, and that foolish common people are deceived, then they know what is not an aggregate as similar to the five aggregates. That person also does not argue with the Buddha, and by not acting contrary to what the Buddha has said, they will be liberated from the suffering of beings in hell, animals, and hungry ghosts. World-holder, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, does not argue with people. Because all disputes have been completely cut off, he is called Buddha, and he teaches the true Dharma to all beings. For example, everything that you have previously taken up is perverse. All beings, due to the power of perversion, are attached to and abide in the aggregates, and thus repeatedly revolve in the world. Thus, people, being attached to and abiding in the five aggregates, cling to and generate various kinds of evil views. They are attached to and abide in various names and words, and they are attached to and abide in false sorrow, lamentation, and all suffering. Thus, people are afflicted by various evil views and tormented by various sufferings, but there is no one to protect or shelter them.
