When the Able One practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva, he benefits sentient beings. Thus, after appearing in this degenerate and evil world, he performs deeds of benefit and happiness for immeasurable and countless sentient beings. Sons of good family, those who wish to practice the conduct of enlightenment in this way should strive for faith, diligence, and carefulness. Sons of good family, even though I attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, I never diminished my diligence. Even until I passed into complete nirvana, I generated diligence and broke my relics into pieces as small as mustard seeds, and also separated the parts of my body. Why is that? It is also for the sake of sentient beings in the future. When I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, those sentient beings who were tamed, whose conduct was mistaken and erroneous, and who had fallen into the realm of obstacles, In order to dispel them, I generated great compassion and broke my relics into pieces, even as small as mustard seeds, and also showed the power of miraculous transformation. After I have passed into complete nirvana, those sentient beings who are to be tamed by relics will have their minds completely purified. Because their minds are completely purified, they will accomplish their wishes in all places. Sons of good family, when I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, the relics of my body, which were naturally accomplished with such compassion for sentient beings, were broken into tiny pieces and spread everywhere, also because of my previous aspiration. Thus, because of immeasurable qualities, the cause of merit, conditions, and the power of great compassion, in the evil times of the future, I will protect many beings. Sons of good family, those Bodhisattvas who have faith in this Dharma, diligence, and generate carefulness, will certainly in the future read this sutra and others, recite it, hold it, and also explain it extensively to others, thus they make aspirations. I also, by the power of miraculous transformation, bless those Bodhisattvas to read, recite, hold, and also explain it extensively to others. I also read these sutras, recite, and hold them.

And, in order to widely proclaim it to others, it was completely entrusted to those Bodhisattvas. What is the reason for that? Sons of good family, it should be known that wherever this sutra exists, it should be regarded as the place where the Buddha resides, and that he has not passed into nirvana. Therefore, the Tathagata entrusted these sutras to the Bodhisattvas. Sons of good family, therefore, I should know that in the past, I also gathered sentient beings with such causes and conditions, and did not abandon them. In the present time, I also gather sentient beings and do not abandon them. In the future, it should also be known that sentient beings will be completely gathered and will not be abandoned. Like this, in order to remember and protect these sutras, and in order to widely propagate them in the last of the five hundred years of the future. Sons of good family, if in the present time, or after I have completely passed into nirvana, in a city, or a town, or a mountain, or a forest, or a nomadic monastery, there is a sutra, whoever holds it, or grasps it, or reads it, or recites it, or explains and teaches it to others, it should be known that the Buddha resides in that place. What is the reason for that? Because of that cause, that reason, I call the Buddhas the Dharmakaya. Because seeing the Dharma is called seeing the Buddha. Do not regard the Buddha as the Rupakaya. Whoever has faith in this Dharma, or hears this Dharma, that person is called having faith in the Buddha and hearing the Buddha's teachings. Whoever diligently does as it is said, that person is called seeing the Buddha. That person is called a truthful speaker, a Dharma speaker, a follower of the Dharma. Sons of good family, my body is both Dharma and non-Dharma, and is called a follower of the Dharma. The giving of Dharma is called the most excellent of giving, not abiding in Dharma, nor abiding in non-Dharma. How is that? If one abides in Dharma, one will not be called seeing the Buddha. Sons of good family, not abiding in all Dharmas is called seeing the Buddha. Not seeing all Dharmas is called seeing the Buddha. What is the reason for that? The Tathagata cannot be called Dharma, Dharma
