What is it? What is the subduing of transgressions? Transgression is that which arises from the root of complete conceptualization, arises from the root of impropriety, arises from the root of ignorance, arises from the root of perversion, arises from the root of non-truth, arises from the root of non-existence, arises from the root of the destructible aggregate, arises from the root of manifest attachment to sentient beings, arises from the root of regret, arises from the root of non-arising, arises from the root of doubt, arises from the root of attachment and delusion, arises from the root of weak wisdom; this is called transgression. So what is the subduing of transgression? It is the arising that abides thoroughly in the absence of doubt; transgression does not abide in an object, does not abide in a direction, does not become an aggregate, is without grasping, is without appearance. The mind by which one becomes transgressive is also exhausted and separated, transformed, does not abide in an object, does not abide in a direction, does not become an aggregate, is without grasping, is without appearance. As the mind is transgressive, so it is. As transgression is, so are all dharmas; they are without root, do not abide. Whatever mind is without hesitation, without turbidity, light, peaceful, completely without affliction, clear, utterly pure, has faith in the words of the lama, is single-mindedly certain, without doubt, and single-mindedly believes, this is called the subduing of transgression. So what are afflictions? What is the subduing of afflictions? Afflictions are desire, hatred, delusion, ignorance, craving, grasping, and the twelve branches of existence, and whatever conditioned things enter into; this is called affliction. So what is the subduing of afflictions? It is like this: all dharmas are extremely tame. Why is that? All dharmas are tamed by emptiness; therefore, desire has no pervasive movement, hatred is absent, delusion is absent. All dharmas are tamed by signlessness; therefore, all afflictions have no pervasive movement. All dharmas are tamed by wishlessness; therefore, all pervasive movements have no pervasive movement. All dharmas are tamed by non-manifestation; therefore,
