When the kalpa called Earth came, I paid homage, respected, painted, and made offerings to eighteen thousand Tathagatas, but those Tathagatas did not prophesy me. Brahma, beyond that, there came a kalpa called Well-Led, and I paid homage, respected, painted, and made offerings to thirty-two thousand Tathagatas, but those Tathagatas did not prophesy me. Beyond that, there came a kalpa called Brahma Array, and I paid homage, respected, painted, and made offerings to eighty-four thousand Tathagatas, but those Tathagatas did not prophesy me. Brahma, to whomsoever I painted, made offerings, paid homage, respected, from whom I practiced celibacy, I completely gave away all possessions, and I took up the qualities of discipline and training properly, I abandoned harsh words of anger, jealousy, pride, and concealment, and thus I cultivated patience and love, meditation, practiced extreme solitude, took up solitary dwellings, completely inquired about the pursuit of food and sound, and with the diligence of doing them, I comprehended all that was heard, the names of those Tathagatas could be spoken even in a kalpa or more than a kalpa, but those Tathagatas did not prophesy me to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Why is that? Brahma, like this, I remained in conduct. Therefore, Brahma, it should be understood that in this way, Bodhisattvas are prophesied as those who have transcended all conduct. Brahma, when I saw the Tathagata Dipamkara, I obtained forbearance towards the dharma of non-arising. Then, the Tathagata Dipamkara first prophesied to me, saying: In the future, after countless kalpas, you will become a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfect Buddha named Shakyamuni. Then, I transcended all conduct. Then, my paramita

The six perfections are completely fulfilled. What is the reason for this? Whatever completely abandons all characteristics is the perfection of generosity. Whatever completely pacifies all objects is the perfection of discipline. Whatever does not become injured by objects is the perfection of patience. Whatever makes all phenomena solitary is the perfection of diligence. Whatever does not engage in all mental activities is the perfection of meditation. Whatever is patient with phenomena that are not born by nature is the perfection of wisdom. Brahma, in that way, the Tathagata Dipamkara completely perfected the perfections. Brahma, whatever generosity has been given from the time of first generating the mind until now, even a hundredth part of that does not approach the generosity of not focusing on it later, not even up to an example. Whatever discipline was first learned, and the qualities of discipline that were properly taken through practice, even up to an example, do not approach that discipline that has been thoroughly practiced. Whatever patience has been practiced from the time of first generating the mind until now, even the cause does not approach that nature of thorough patience. Whatever diligence has been undertaken from the time of first generating the mind until now, even up to an example, does not approach that diligence without taking and without abandoning. Whatever meditation has been abiding in complete solitude from the time of first generating the mind until now, even up to an example, does not approach that completely pacified, without characteristics. Brahma, whatever has been individually understood by wisdom from the time of first generating the mind until now, even up to an example, does not approach that wisdom without elaboration. Therefore, Brahma, it should be understood in this way that through this method, at that time, I completely perfected the six perfections. Asked: Blessed One, how are the six perfections completely fulfilled? The Buddha said: Brahma, whatever does not have pride in giving, does not abide in discipline, does not conceptualize patience, does not take up diligence, does not abide in meditation, and does not have duality in wisdom.

It is the perfection of the six paramitas. Question: Blessed One, after the perfection of the six paramitas, how is it perfected? Answer: Brahma, after the perfection of the six paramitas, one perfects the all-knowing wisdom. Question: Blessed One, how does one perfect the all-knowing wisdom after perfecting the six paramitas? Answer: Brahma, the equality of the perfection of generosity is the equality of the all-knowing wisdom. The equality of the perfection of discipline, the equality of the perfection of patience, the equality of the perfection of diligence, the equality of the perfection of meditation, and the equality of the perfection of wisdom are the equality of the all-knowing wisdom. Therefore, with this equality, all dharmas are equality. The equality of all dharmas is the equality of all-knowing. Furthermore, Brahma, after the perfection of the thought of generosity, the thought of discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and the perfection of the thought of wisdom, one perfects the all-knowing wisdom. All-knowing wisdom is separated from all thoughts. Thus, Brahma, the perfection of the six paramitas perfects the all-knowing wisdom. Question: Blessed One, what is the perfection of all-knowing wisdom? The Blessed One answered: Not taking the eye, not taking the form, and not taking the mind and dharma. Brahma, not taking these six internal and external sources is the perfection of all-knowing wisdom. Brahma, after perfecting the all-knowing wisdom in this way, one does not cling to the eye, does not cling to the ear, does not cling to the nose, does not cling to the tongue, does not cling to the body, and does not cling to the mind. Therefore, the wisdom of the Tathagata's all-knowing wisdom has no attachment and no obscuration. Brahma, all-knowing wisdom does not take any dharma. Brahma, in this way, all-knowing
