All of them were manifestly knowing by means of superknowledge, having obtained dharani, having unimpeded eloquence, having obtained samadhi, disporting themselves with superknowledge, endowed with fearless eloquence, skilled in expounding the self-nature of all dharmas, having obtained forbearance of non-arising dharmas. Nga Po and Sa dzin, and so on, seventy-two thousand Bodhisattvas, the Four Great Kings, Indra, the lord of the gods, and the thirty-three gods, the gods of Yama, Tushita, Nirmāṇarati, Paranirmita-vaśavartin, Brahma and so on, hundreds of thousands of gods of the Brahma realm, and other glorious gods, Nagas, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, Mahoragas, humans and non-humans were all together. Then, the Blessed One, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of attendants, taught the Dharma in front. Then, the young Bodhisattva Jāla-prabha (Net Light), draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One, causing the three-thousand-great-thousand world to tremble greatly, and gazing upon all the beings in the three-thousand-great-thousand world, he said to the Blessed One: "If the Blessed One would grant me the opportunity to ask questions and receive prophecies, I would ask the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, some questions." 如果沒有打開（網），就不能觀看或觀察如來的身軀。那是什麼原因呢？因為具網之光，如來有稱為「極寂靜之顯現」的光芒。被那光芒觸及的眾生，也能觀看和觀察如來的身軀，而且他們的眼睛也不會損壞。具網之光，如來有稱為「無畏之勇氣」的光芒。被那光芒觸及的眾生，會向如來提問和反問。具網之光，如來有稱為「積累善根」的光芒。被那光芒觸及的眾生，為了獲得轉輪王的王位，會向如來提問。同樣地，光芒「善妙之顯現」的光芒觸及的眾生，為了獲得帝釋天，會向如來提問。光芒「獲得自主」的光芒觸及的眾生，為了投生到梵天世界，會向如來提問。光芒「無有煩惱」的光芒觸及的眾生，會向如來提問關於聲聞乘。光芒「專一且具隱居」的光芒觸及的眾生，會向如來提問關於獨覺乘。光芒「獲得灌頂於一切智智」的光芒觸及的眾生，會向如來提問關於大乘佛陀乘。光芒「殊勝行」的光芒，當如來行走或離開時，腳底所觸及的眾生，死後立即投生到善趣高層天界。光芒「一切莊嚴之佈置」，當如來前往城市時放出，在那裡，如來的光芒所觸及的眾生，都會變得具足最上的安樂。一切莊嚴之佈置也會在那城市中顯現。

Without opening (the net), one cannot see or examine the body of the Tathagata. What is the reason for this? Because the light with the net, the Tathagata has a ray called "the manifestation of utmost peace." Beings touched by that ray can also see and examine the body of the Tathagata, and their eyes will not be damaged. The light with the net, the Tathagata has a ray called "fearless courage." Beings touched by that ray will ask and question the Tathagata. The light with the net, the Tathagata has a ray called "accumulating roots of virtue." Beings touched by that ray will ask the Tathagata in order to obtain the kingdom of a Chakravartin king. Similarly, beings touched by the ray called "the manifestation of goodness" will ask the Tathagata in order to obtain Indra. Beings touched by the ray called "obtaining mastery" will ask the Tathagata in order to be born in the world of Brahma. Beings touched by the ray called "becoming without afflictions" will ask the Tathagata about the Hearer Vehicle. Beings touched by the ray called "single-pointed and endowed with solitude" will ask the Tathagata about the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle. Beings touched by the ray called "obtaining empowerment into the omniscient wisdom" will ask the Tathagata about the Great Vehicle, the Buddha Vehicle. The ray called "going forth in distinction," when the sole of the foot of the Tathagata touches any being as he goes or departs, those beings, immediately after death, are born in the happy realms, the higher heavenly worlds. The ray called "arranging all ornaments" is emitted when the Tathagata goes to a city, and there, whichever beings are touched by the light of the Tathagata, all of them will become endowed with the supreme bliss. The arrangement of all ornaments will also appear in that city.
