Thus, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, possesses unobstructed wisdom. When this teaching of the Tathagata's unobstructed knowledge was proclaimed, three hundred thousand beings generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, the Kinnara King Tree offered seven days of bliss to the Blessed One, the Bodhisattva, and the assembly of Shravaka Sangha, serving with all offerings, and in order to fully enjoy, he offered his own house and the courtyard of his retinue to the Blessed One, and thus he requested: "Blessed One, for the sake of your compassion for me, please always come and abide here. Therefore, it will benefit many beings, bring happiness to many beings, have compassion for the world, and bring benefit and happiness to the multitude of beings, as well as Kinnaras, Gandharvas, and Mahodaragas." Then, the son of the Kinnara King Tree, named Immaculate Eye, offered a jeweled net to the Blessed One, and thus he requested the Blessed One: "Blessed One, although we Kinnaras have correctly entered the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, we are very attached to musical instruments, the sound of music, songs, and dances, and we like immaculate flowers, incense, perfumes, ointments, and powders. How can we become immaculate and truly practice the Dharmas of the path to enlightenment? Please, Blessed One, grant us such a precious Dharma seal door instruction." After he requested thus, the Blessed One said to Immaculate Eye, the son of the Kinnara King: "O good-faced one, therefore, from now on, I will bless you so that sixty-four Dharmas that fully ripen enlightenment will arise from those musical instruments and songs. What are the sixty-four? They are: the arising of the sound of impermanence, the sound of suffering, the sound of selflessness, the sound of peace, the sound of non-manifestation, the sound of solitude."

The assembly with all its endowments was amazed and prostrated to the Bhagavan, saying: "Bhagavan, how much the Buddhas, the Bhagavans, also bless this Bodhi with the power of blessing, and teach the Dharma, and how much the Tathagata deeply cherishes the Bodhisattvas is wonderful!" The Bhagavan said: "Friends, it is just as you said, the Tathagata deeply cherishes the Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Because cherishing the Bodhisattvas in this way will cherish all sentient beings. Friends, the Tathagata's cherishing of the Bodhisattvas is solely for the benefit of all sentient beings. Therefore, for the sake of all sentient beings, they wear the great armor that will lead countless sentient beings from samsara to the path of nirvana. Friends, in this way, whether one is dwelling now or has completely passed into nirvana, whatever act of cherishing the Bodhisattvas is done, it should be understood as cherishing all sentient beings. Friends, making offerings to the Bodhisattvas with Dharma robes, alms, bedding, medicine for the sick, and utensils is making offerings to all sentient beings. Friends, bestowing happiness and closeness upon the Bodhisattvas is bestowing happiness and closeness upon all sentient beings. Why is that? Friends, even the breathing of the Bodhisattvas is entirely held for the sake of benefiting and bringing happiness to all sentient beings with great compassion. Then, the sons of the gods of the desire realm, the form realm, and the pure abodes, as well as the nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and the entire assembly with all its endowments, rejoiced in the Bhagavan's well-spoken words and offered many kinds of heavenly flowers of various colors to the Bhagavan.
