If it is not possible to realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment from the body of a woman, then, how can we, from the body of a woman, transform and obtain the body of a man, and also realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Please, O Blessed One, explain to us well such a Dharma. After they made this request, the Blessed One said to those Kinnara King Tree Garland: Sisters, therefore, listen very well and keep it in mind. I will tell you how a woman can transform from the body of a woman, obtain the body of a man, and quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The Kinnara King Tree Garland said to the Blessed One: Good. Then they listened to the teachings of the Blessed One. The Blessed One said to them: Sisters, if you possess one Dharma, a woman can transform from the body of a woman, obtain the body of a man, and quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. What is that one Dharma? It is to generate the mind of enlightenment with superior intention, to generate the mind of omniscience, to generate the mind of inequality and equality, to generate the mind that surpasses the three realms, and to generate the mind of non-forgetfulness towards all roots of virtue. Sisters, if you possess this one Dharma, a woman can transform from the body of a woman and obtain the body of a man. Sisters, furthermore, if you possess two Dharmas, a woman can transform from the body of a woman and obtain the body of a man. What are those two? They are the absence of jealousy and the absence of stinginess. Sisters, if you possess these two Dharmas, a woman can transform from the body of a woman and obtain the body of a man. The three disciplines of body are completely pure, the four disciplines of speech are completely pure, and the three disciplines of mind are completely pure. O sisters, if you possess these three dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. O sisters, furthermore, if you possess four dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the four? They are: giving without deceit, upholding the precepts without deceit, relying on morality without deceit, and listening to the Dharma without deceit. O sisters, if you possess these four dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. O sisters, furthermore, if you possess five dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the five? They are: striving for the Dharma, reflecting properly after hearing the Dharma, reviling the nature of a woman from the depths of your heart, constantly generating the mind to obtain the body of a man, and acting according to what has been said. O sisters, if you possess these five dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. O sisters, furthermore, if you possess six dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the six? They are: being upright, gentle, without deceit, without hypocrisy, without stinginess, and without artifice. O sisters, if you possess these six dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. O sisters, furthermore, if you possess seven dharmas, you will be transformed from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the seven? They are: remembering the Buddha in order to attain the body of the Buddha, remembering the Dharma in order to attain the Dharma of the Buddha, remembering the Sangha in order to gather a Sangha of your own that does not turn back, remembering morality in order to purify your aspirations completely, and afflictions.

Remembering generosity to completely abandon all possessions, remembering the deities to purify the mind of enlightenment, and having compassion for all sentient beings to liberate them. Sisters, if you possess these seven qualities, you will transform from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. Sisters, furthermore, if you possess eight qualities, you will transform from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the eight? They are: not craving food, not craving drink, not craving flowers, incense, garlands, ointments, and powders, not craving to go to pleasure gardens, not craving to frolic and play, not craving the sounds of songs, dances, and musical instruments, not craving joy and amusement, and not craving delight in the ear, sound, nose, smell, tongue, taste, body, and touch. Sisters, if you possess these eight qualities, you will transform from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. Sisters, furthermore, if you possess nine qualities, you will transform from the nature of a woman and attain the nature of a man. What are the nine? They are: not holding to annihilationism, not holding to eternalism, not speaking of self, not speaking of sentient beings, not speaking of life, not speaking of a person, not holding to arising, not holding to destruction, and being skilled in engaging with causes and conditions.
