The sound of earth-holding, the sound of lion's roar samadhi, the sound of sun lamp samadhi, the sound of infinite whirling samadhi, the sound of constant following samadhi, the sound of vajra wheel samadhi, the sound of vajra banner samadhi, the sound of vajra-like samadhi, the sound of vajra core samadhi, the sound of earth-holding samadhi, the sound of Mount Meru lamp samadhi, the sound of Mount Meru banner samadhi, the sound of jewel treasury samadhi, the sound of mind-controlling samadhi, the sound of truly observing the minds of all sentient beings samadhi, the sound of definitely departing from the realm of all actions samadhi, the sound of profound concealment and union samadhi, the sound of various courageous samadhi, the sound of invisible samadhi, the sound of truly observing all dharmas samadhi, the sound of various playful samadhi, the sound of definitely departing from all superknowledges samadhi, the sound of destroying the mandala of Mara samadhi, the sound of universally showing all forms samadhi, the sound of entering all sounds samadhi, the sound of destroying all body shapes samadhi, the sound of being free in all actions samadhi, the sound of wisdom lamp samadhi, the sound of hand lamp samadhi, the sound of manifesting enlightenment light samadhi, the sound of showing entry into individual correct knowledge samadhi, the sound of entering all qualities samadhi appears. When this praise of the qualities of the Kinnara King Tree was being spoken, by the power of the Buddha, bouquets of celestial Mandarava flowers appeared in the hands of the retinue, complete in every way. They scattered those bouquets of flowers upon the Kinnara King Tree. Then, with what kind of blessing did the Kinnara King Tree take those flowers in his right hand, and without a single flower falling to the ground, after blessing them with such a blessing, he offered those flowers he had taken to the Bhagavan. Then, as soon as those flowers were scattered, by the power of the Buddha, in that instant, the thousandfold world system was covered by a single jeweled flower umbrella. From that jeweled flower umbrella hung down billions and trillions of strings of pearls. From each of the hanging flower garlands, countless billions and trillions of rays of light arose. From the tip of all the rays of light, various beautiful lotuses, endowed with colors, endowed with fragrance, and pleasing, arose. Upon all the lotuses, the bodies of the Tathagatas, just like the body of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, were all seen sitting in the lotus posture. All those Buddhas, the Bhagavans, also praised the Kinnara King Tree, saying: "Well done! Well done! Noble being, you have fully ripened many sentient beings. For the sake of fully ripening sentient beings, although you are liberated from objects, you also show all objects. Although you are liberated from samsara, you also intentionally show birth in existence. Although you have attained the faultless state of nirvana, such conduct in the three realms is the activity of a Bodhisattva. Well done! Well done!" Then, the Kinnara King Tree thought to himself: "I should bless other jeweled umbrellas upon the heads of all those Tathagatas." Immediately upon entering the arranged samadhi, jeweled umbrellas were seen to be present above the heads of all the Tathagatas. In that assembly, jeweled umbrellas also arose from the right hands of all, and those jeweled umbrellas manifestly covered those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Third fascicle. The Kinnara King Tree thought to himself: 'Thus, I have invited the Bhagavat, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Samyaksambuddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, along with the Shravakas and the Bodhisattva Sangha, to a feast. Thus, I have requested the Bhagavat, along with his retinue, to go to my abode on the summit of Mount Fragrance. In this way, my abode will be fully utilized. The gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, an immeasurable host, will also benefit. They will also be delighted to serve and fully utilize the Bhagavat, and therefore, they will obtain long-term benefit, well-being, accomplishment, happiness, and the practice of the Bodhisattvas.' Then, the Kinnara King Tree bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavat, and with palms joined, he said to the Bhagavat: 'Bhagavat, out of compassion for me, and for the sake of increasing the roots of virtue of immeasurable beings, please grant that the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Samyaksambuddha, together with the Bodhisattva Sangha and the Shravaka Sangha, may dwell in my abode on the summit of Mount Fragrance for seven days. Bhagavat, we are delighted to serve and fully utilize the Tathagata and his retinue.' The Bhagavat, out of compassion for the Kinnara King Tree, granted that the Bodhisattvas and the assembly of Shravakas should dwell on the summit of Mount Fragrance for seven days.
