To be completely liberated. The two dharmas to be cherished are: correctly gathering the limbs of meditation, and the mind being workable. The two difficult dharmas are: knowing the reversal from meditation, and reproaching the desire realm. The two dharmas to be cherished are: striving for the sake of dharma and desiring dharma. The two difficult dharmas are: individually examining the dharma and definitely thinking about the dharma. The two dharmas to be cherished are: relying on virtuous friends and respectfully relying on the lama. The two difficult dharmas are: respect and obedience. The two dharmas to be cherished are: completely inquiring at appropriate and inappropriate times, and experiencing the meaning. The two difficult dharmas are: understanding the meaning and understanding the dharma. The two dharmas to be cherished are: not being satisfied with the wealth of hearing, and never experiencing satisfaction with the wisdom of hearing. The two difficult dharmas are: properly examining the dharma individually and completely abandoning the improper dharma. The two dharmas to be cherished are: having compassion for those who teach and those who listen to the dharma. The two difficult dharmas are: the acharya not concealing the scriptures, and teaching the dharma with a mind free from attachment. The two dharmas to be cherished are: listening attentively and thinking with the mind at all times. The two difficult dharmas are: eliminating obscurations and meditating on the limbs of enlightenment. The two dharmas to be cherished are: obtaining great joy and experiencing joy. The two difficult dharmas are: being content with appropriate things and entering into the state of understanding oneself. The two dharmas to be cherished are: believing in the ripening of karma and performing good deeds. The two difficult dharmas are: believing that there is no karma and no ripening, and also teaching the virtuous dharma. The two dharmas to be cherished are: truthful speech and not deceiving noble beings. The two difficult dharmas are: acting as spoken and not disturbing the conduct of the Buddha. There are two practices of cherishing: the mind being completely pure, and completely abandoning covetousness, malice, and wrong views. There are two practices of hardship: inner peace, and not wandering externally. There are two practices of cherishing: cultivating loving-kindness, and having equanimity towards all sentient beings. There are two practices of hardship: loving-kindness that is pure and stainless like the sky, and completely vowing to completely protect all sentient beings. There are two practices of cherishing: not abandoning great compassion, and not being weary of completely seeking virtuous roots. There are two practices of hardship: separately contemplating the unborn, and constantly guarding what has been decided. There are two practices of cherishing: rejoicing and having faith through delight in the Dharma, and abandoning displeasure.
