Ro! Then, the Bhagavan at that time spoke these verses: Minds and thoughts violently agitate the minds of others and commit sins, with false speech and delight in harming others, the lowest beings experience immeasurable and complete suffering without interruption with their minds and bodies. The wretched tongue is pulled out by sharp, large iron hooks. In the abode of Yama, people are poured into extremely hot molten copper. In hell, those who speak untruths will not find joy. When in this world, they are devoid of good speech, their mouths smell foul like corpses, and they become unpleasant and unlovely in the eyes of the world. The surroundings of the king's palace are filled with unpleasant slanders and the faults of disputes, and those who are constantly at fault will be talked about by millions of people. Because lying beings usually do not have peace of mind and body, they will experience many sufferings as a result of the previously mentioned unfortunate destinies. Abandoning human form, helpless people are deceived by all pleasures, and beings will go to the hell realm, and after dying and transmigrating from there, they will be born as animals in the rough cycle of the five realms of existence. Thus, the suffering of wandering sentient beings will never end. Then, the Bhagavan again spoke to the courageous wise one: Courageous wise one, virtuous men and virtuous women, beings who primarily uphold peace and possess five qualities, in whatever rebirth they take, will always encounter the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and after seeing the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, they will also hear the Dharma from them, rejoice in their hearts, attain enlightenment as they have thought, and attain perfection as they desire. What are these five? Namely: taking refuge in the Three Jewels themselves and establishing other beings in taking refuge in the Three Jewels; and commissioning the making of complete, flourishing, and vast images of the Tathagata's body; and the Khenpo and

With knowledge and respect for the teacher, and striving to hold in accordance with the teachings and a happy mind, with unobstructed rays of light, seeing all sentient beings as oneself, like an only child, practicing the sutras as they are composed, reciting, chanting, receiving transmissions, and explaining them, with vast and diverse methods, without interruption, focusing on meditation and striving to practice. Monks with courageous wisdom, sons and daughters of noble families, those sentient beings who prioritize peace and possess these five qualities, wherever they are born, in all those rebirths, will be inseparable from the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and upon seeing the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, they will also hear the Dharma from them, rejoice in their hearts, attain enlightenment as they wish, and obtain all perfections as they desire. Then, the Bhagavan spoke these verses at that time: Those who abide in the supreme Dharma of the Buddha's qualities, they themselves will tame all sentient beings. They will create Buddha's images, beautiful forms. The wise will honor the words of the teacher. Those who see themselves as no different from an only child in all the worlds of the ten directions, they will surely be free from sorrow in all existences and will see the Buddhas who possess utterly pure minds. Those who possess the treasure of wisdom and accumulate wealth, day and night they will constantly practice all virtues. Here, they will become beings with wondrous light, in the great darkness of the world, they will become the supreme light. Having completely and thoroughly distinguished all the Dharmas, there is no path superior to the Buddha's path, having ascertained this, they will know the cause of reaching the ultimate destination of the world together with the gods. Then, the merchant Courageous Wisdom, having heard this Dharma discourse, felt satisfied and delighted, rejoiced and was overjoyed, and having generated joy and a pleasant mind, obtained forbearance in the Dharma of non-arising, the merchant's

Approximately five hundred people, along with their respective attendants, also about five hundred in number, all attained the Dharma-eye, free from dust and defilement, regarding the dharmas. In the mandala of the Blessed One's retinue, all those who had gathered, such as gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, generated the mind for the yana that they each desired. They also attained fulfillment as they wished, and offered immeasurable flowers, incense, garlands, clothing, ornaments, and so forth to the Blessed One. Then, the merchant chief Splendid Intellect rose from his seat, bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed towards where the Blessed One was, and spoke thus: "Blessed One, well said, well said, by the master of the three realms, these five dharmas! Having heard these five dharmas, this assembly has achieved complete fulfillment and satisfaction. In the future, sentient beings who hear this will abandon the side of darkness, enter the side of light, and accomplish asceticism. Blessed One, if tomorrow you would deign to come to my garden together with the community of monks, please grant this out of compassion for us." The Blessed One, out of compassion for the merchant chief Splendid Intellect, granted it. Then, the merchant chief Splendid Intellect, knowing that the Blessed One had granted it, was satisfied, pleased, and delighted, and having generated joy and happiness, he bowed his head to the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and then, together with his attendants, departed from the presence of the Blessed One. He went to his own home, bowed to the feet of his parents, joined his palms together, and said: "Father and Mother, in this way, the Sugata, who is exceedingly rare in the world, the unsurpassed King of Dharma, the Blessed One who has transcended all of the three realms, tomorrow I will invite him and the community of monks to come for the offering."
