Will also give rise to regret. We are monks in name only, saying that monks have no merit. Upon hearing such sincere exhortations, this sutra will also be abandoned. Those with severed noses and ears, just as they do not enjoy looking in a mirror, upon hearing such sincere exhortations, they will also abandon the true Dharma. Whatever monks who will arise to uphold the holy Dharma, even if they act hypocritically, they will not listen to this Dharma. They will also deceive the kings, and will also alienate great beings, but by the blessings of the Buddha, those sentient beings will always listen to the Dharma. At that evil time, for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, we will completely abandon our bodies and lives, and we will uphold the holy Dharma. At that time of great destruction, it will not be just words, but also to take practice as the essence. The protector knows our thoughts. If one can fully uphold this true Dharma, how much merit will be accumulated? I pray to the Light-Maker, the Dharma King who illuminates the world! At that time, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, saying: Son of good family, for example, each of the thirty kotis of world systems in the eastern direction is broken down into particles of dust, and likewise, south, west, north, above, below, and in all ten directions, each of the thirty kotis of world systems is broken down into particles of dust. Then, as many of those particles of dust as there are, in the eastern direction, passing beyond that many Buddha-fields, one particle of dust is placed. In that way, in the eastern direction, even if all those particles of dust are exhausted, there is no end to the Buddha-fields of the eastern direction. Just as in the eastern direction, so too in each of the ten directions, there are that many Buddha-fields. Son of good family, what do you think? Can the measure or the limit of the particles of dust of those Buddha-fields in the ten directions, placed in the ten directions in that way, be known? He replied: Bhagavan, it cannot be known. Except for what is known by the Tathagata with unobstructed Buddha-wisdom. Bhagavan.
