Then, the Blessed One, together with eighty-four thousand beings, generated the unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhicitta. At that time, five hundred non-believing and dharma-opposed sons of Mara, displeased upon hearing this, said, "Even if our father has generated Bodhicitta, we shall strive to destroy such teachings." Then, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, "Son of noble family, with what mantra words can you cause as many Maras as there are sands in the Ganges River to turn towards Bodhi? You should proclaim the mantra words that cut off Mara." Thereupon, the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha spoke these mantra words at that time, namely: A batte, bi batte, sam batte, sa hi tanu sandhi, duruttarano, nirghatani, maitrya yukte, karuna nishyante, satyavati, bhurakshe, dharma ni britte, dharma rakshe, akshule, ni khili ni, hulu hulu hulu hulu hulu, tat kare, tatha vadite, shila anu varti, akshaya ni she, klesha vari she, buddha adhi te dharma jwalini, samgha anu game, anuddhare, anti kramaniye, ni grahani mara paksha sya yukti krite, adante, ashaste, swa bi khaya anu game, arya guna kare, siddhi siddhi vate, moksha anukule, ni grahani vara pratinaam, darshani mara parshata, ava shanta chatvaro maha rajana, shakro devanam indra brashpu saha pati, buddha prasannanam, deva naga, yaksha kritam paritranam, sthapita naswa styayananam, dharma bhanakanam, arakshaye, saddharmasya cha vari grahaye. As soon as the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha spoke these mantra words, in that very instant, the three thousand great thousand world realms shook in six ways. The five hundred non-believing and dharma-opposed sons of Mara heard a voice from space saying, "Maras, sons of the Mara lineage, or gods of the Mara lineage, who, having heard these mantra words, do not generate Bodhicitta and engage in the deeds of Mara, we shall destroy them."

Having heard that the demon did not give up, Vajrapani struck his head with a vajra that burned everywhere and blazed intensely. When those sons of the devil looked into the sky, they saw five hundred Vajrapanis each holding a blazing vajra on their heads, and they were frightened and terrified, and thus generated the mind of enlightenment. Then, the Blessed One smiled at that time, and the venerable Ananda asked the Blessed One about the meaning of that smile. To this, the Blessed One said: Ananda, have you seen these five hundred sons of the devil, frightened and terrified, generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? He replied: Blessed One, I have seen it. The Blessed One said: Ananda, when that evil demon attains enlightenment, all of them in that Buddha-field will become Bodhisattvas with different names. Then, the venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, when will the evil demon attain unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? When he attains enlightenment, what will his name be? What will his world be called? The Blessed One said: Ananda, this evil demon will still perform demonic deeds in the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, and he will also hear from those Blessed Buddhas this teaching of the Vajra Heart subduing afflictions. He will see the secret rituals, conduct, qualities, places of discipline, practices, rituals, and unions of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. When his mind of enlightenment becomes firm, the Tathagata Infinite Immaculate Crown will appear. In his scriptures, this evil demon will also ultimately perform demonic deeds, and when his roots of virtue are fully ripened, he will follow the Buddhas and all pure appearances of the Dharma with a mindless mind, and thus generate the mind of enlightenment. 会令彼如来欢喜，承事，敬为上师，画像并供养。将于彼等佛薄伽梵之教法中出家。出家后，亦将于三时中受持正法。亦将令无量有情于菩提中成熟。其后于四十四无数劫，将现证无上正等菩提。于清净劫中，于清净安住之世界，名为极安住法光明之如来、应供、正等觉者出现于世，具足明行乃至佛薄伽梵。复次，贤首，彼清净安住之世界，将富饶、繁荣、安乐、丰收，充满天人。譬如，贤首，如欢喜天之天众受用及行事，彼等有情之受用及行事亦将如是。贤首，彼如来名为极安住法光明者之寿命，将能存活四十中劫。六十四俱胝那由他声闻众将成声闻之大集会。二万俱胝菩萨众将成僧团。贤首，凡诸魔、魔子及魔族之天众，如今已入于无上正等菩提者，彼等一切亦将于彼清净安住之世界中受生。薄伽梵彼如来名为极安住法光明者之佛土中，彼等一切亦将由彼如来授记为无上正等菩提。宣说此恶魔授记之开示时，凡彼眷属会中之帝释天、梵天及世间守护者等一切皆感稀有，如是虽作如是多之魔业，彼如来

will please those Tathagatas, serve them, regard them as teachers, make images of them, and make offerings to them. They will go forth into the teachings of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Having gone forth, they will also uphold the sacred Dharma in the three times. They will also fully ripen immeasurable sentient beings in Bodhi. Thereafter, in forty-four countless eons, they will manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment. In the eon of purification, in the world that abides in complete purity, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Complete Buddha, named "Attained Light of Dharma Abiding Utterly," will appear in the world, endowed with knowledge and conduct, up to the Buddha, the Bhagavat. Again, Kungawo, that world abiding in complete purity will be prosperous, flourishing, happy, fertile, and filled with gods and humans. For example, Kungawo, just as the enjoyments and activities of the gods of Tushita are, so too will be the enjoyments and activities of those sentient beings. Kungawo, the life span of that Tathagata named "Attained Light of Dharma Abiding Utterly" will last for forty intermediate eons. Sixty-four kotis of nayutas of Shravakas will become a great assembly of Shravakas. Twenty thousand kotis of Bodhisattvas will become the Sangha. Kungawo, all the gods of Mara, the sons of Mara, and the retinue of Mara who are now engaged in the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment will also be born in that world abiding in complete purity. In the Buddha-field of that Bhagavat, the Tathagata named "Attained Light of Dharma Abiding Utterly," all of them will be prophesied by that Tathagata to attain the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment. When this explanation of the prophecy of the evil Mara was thoroughly taught, all those assembled in that retinue, including Indra, Brahma, and the protectors of the world, were amazed, saying, "Even though he performs so many deeds of Mara, that Tathagata...
