What kind of seeing is it? True seeing is seeing the Buddha. Among them, seeing the Dharma means not practicing all thoughts. Seeing without change means being free from desire. Being free from desire is called seeing the Dharma. If a Bodhisattva is thus in accordance with seeing the Buddha and seeing the Dharma, he can be completely liberated from the realm of Mara. This is the Dharma gate called "completely liberating from the realm of Mara." The Bodhisattva named Eye Illusion said: The activities of Mara arise from agitation, pride, and action. Among them, a Bodhisattva should not do things that are the basis of agitation, pride, and action. That is improper attention. Through proper attention, one can be unmoving, unproud, and inactive. Because of being unmoving, unproud, and inactive, one can be completely liberated from the realm of Mara. The Bodhisattva named Virtue King Light said: As many antidotes as there are, so many are the activities of Mara. The absence of antidote is the Dharmadhatu. All Dharmas are completely gathered in the Dharmadhatu. Therefore, whoever realizes the Dharmadhatu realizes all Dharmas. Outside the Dharmadhatu, the activities of Mara cannot be found. The activities of Mara are the same as the Dharmadhatu, and the Dharmadhatu is no different from Suchness. In this way, a Bodhisattva who follows and enters into one aspect can be completely liberated from the realm of Mara. The Bodhisattva named Incense Elephant Wool said: Mara seeks the weaknesses of the weak, but for the powerful, Mara cannot find weaknesses. Among them, the weak are those who are frightened by the three doors of liberation. Among them, the powerful are those who are not frightened by the three doors of liberation. Because of direct perception, they are not afraid; because of thorough understanding, they are not afraid; because of complete cultivation, they are not afraid. Because they are not afraid, they can be completely liberated from the realm of Mara. This is the door of Dharma manifestation called "completely liberating from the realm of Mara." The Bodhisattva Maitreya said: For example: Just as the water of the great ocean has one taste,

In this great ocean of wisdom of the earth, all dharmas are of one taste. All the deeds of demons and all the activities of the Buddhas, all of them are the same in emptiness, the same in signlessness, the same in wishlessness, the same in birthlessness, the same in arisinglessness. A bodhisattva who enters into one taste completely transcends the realm of demons. The Bodhisattva Akashagarbha said: O friends, space completely transcends all realms. Space is not the realm of the eye, nor of the ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind. All dharmas are the realm of the nature of space. Body and speech are the manifestation of wisdom that follows the equality of space. A bodhisattva who has attained the manifestation of wisdom completely transcends the realm of demons. This is the dharma gate called "completely transcending the realm of demons." The Bodhisattva Manjushri said: Noble men, all that you have said is the activity of demons and the realm of demons. Why is that? All that is expressed in letters is discrimination. The Buddha's speech is without letters. As many words as there are, so many are the deeds of demons. What can a demon do without words? That which is without words is without discrimination. One does not truly see self and other. Without self and without other, one cannot benefit or harm any dharma. To realize this as it is, is to completely transcend the realm of demons. Son of good family, this is the dharma gate of the bodhisattva called "completely transcending the realm of demons." Then, the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha said to the evil demon: Evil one, have you heard this dharma gate of completely transcending the realm of demons? He replied: I have heard it. He said: Evil one, can you do the deeds of demons to bodhisattvas who have deeply entered into such a dharma? He replied: Son of good family, whoever has heard this dharma gate of completely transcending the realm of demons, I cannot do the deeds of demons even to those who have heard it. How

What need is there to mention the Bodhisattvas who directly realize it? Then, the attendants of the Bodhisattva, namely, the one with separated assemblies, the one with joyful assemblies, the one with incense, and the one with mansions, these four gods said to the evil demon: "Evil one, how did the Bhagavan, at the heart of enlightenment, with previous strength, fierceness, splendor, and service, and what kind of retinue, come forth? The Bhagavan, with love, compassion, generosity, gentleness, perfect discipline, calmness, morality, learning, concentration, wisdom, and diligence, being steadfast and blazing, having accumulated the collections of merit and wisdom, struck the precious hand on the earth, and the infinite and boundless world trembled greatly, and you, along with your strength and retinue, were utterly defeated. Since that is so, even though it has become manifest to you, will you still come to do the deeds of a demon to the Bhagavan and the Bodhisattvas? Do the work of offering to the Thus-Gone One and the retinue of Bodhisattvas." Then the evil demon emanated eighty-four hundred thousand kotis of precious umbrellas and offered them to the retinue. Holding many different kinds of divine flowers, incense, garlands, and unguents, he scattered them in the direction of the Bhagavan and, together with his retinue, spoke these words: "If the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha would grant us this treasury of space, we would generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." The Bodhisattva Akashagarbha said: "Evil one, do you see this treasury of space?" He replied: "Son of good family, I see it." He saw here what was far more excellent than all the arrangements of the desire realm, all the arrangements of all the Buddha-fields, and all the arrangements of my abode, and there was no enjoyment of any jewels of gods or men in it. He said: "Evil one, give all these treasuries of space as alms, and generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment!" Then the evil demon
