Son of good family, how does a Bodhisattva accumulate immeasurable merit and become the sustenance of all sentient beings? Son of good family, in this case, a Bodhisattva abides in sentient beings with love. He abides in beings with compassion. Regarding meditations, he abides without attachment to them. To those who beg, he completely gives away all possessions. With merits, he obtains inexhaustible enjoyment. With a pure mind, he is like a jewel in hand. Without thoughts of high or low, his mind is like the earth. With completely pure morality, his mind is enriched. By accomplishing all offerings and generosity, his mind is liberated and without obscuration. By distinguishing the Dharma, he possesses perfect retention and eloquence. By going to immeasurable Buddha-fields, he abides in the wisdom of clairvoyance. Just as these four great external elements become the sustenance of all sentient beings, may my four great internal elements also become the sustenance of all sentient beings. May my roots of virtue and skill in knowing the Dharma not fail to become the sustenance of all sentient beings. In this way, he also completely dedicates all roots of virtue. Thus, a Bodhisattva accumulates immeasurable merit and becomes the sustenance of all sentient beings. Son of good family, if Buddhas do not appear, how does a Bodhisattva benefit sentient beings with the deeds of a Buddha? Son of good family, in this case, a Bodhisattva, because he knows what is and is not the case, completes the practice of the ten powers. Because he knows the practice of exhausting defilements, he completes the practice of the four fearlessnesses. Because he knows the practice of wisdom without attachment to the three times, he completes the practice of the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. Because he obtains the appearance of the Buddha's eye, he completes the practice of the five eyes. Because he obtains entry into the essence of enlightenment, he completes the practice of all clairvoyances. Because he has completely cut off the imprints of afflictions, he completes the fulfillment of all virtuous dharmas. The collection of all merits

Now, having accumulated the body, speech, and mind, as well as the adornments of good marks and excellent signs, the purification is complete. Having received empowerment, the purification of the ten bhumis is complete. Having accumulated the accumulation of wisdom, the purification of all the Buddha's teachings is complete. Son of the lineage, even if the Bodhisattva Buddhas have not appeared, they still benefit sentient beings through the deeds of the Buddhas. Son of the lineage, how does the Bodhisattva obtain the Samadhi of the Ocean Seal and not cling to the minds and behaviors of all sentient beings? Son of the lineage, for example, in Jambudvipa, however many forms of sentient beings appear, all those similar seals exist in the great ocean. Therefore, it is called the Great Ocean. Similarly, whatever appears in the minds of all sentient beings, or appears in forms, or appears in sounds, all of these appear in one appearance of the Bodhisattva who abides in the Samadhi of the Ocean Seal. Therefore, it is called the Samadhi of the Ocean Seal. For example, the great ocean has only one taste. Similarly, the Bodhisattva also has only one taste because he knows the taste of liberation. For example, the great ocean does not miss the time. Similarly, the Bodhisattva also does not miss the time of the essence of Bodhi because he separately knows the time and non-time. For example, the great ocean does not dwell together with a corpse. Similarly, the Bodhisattva also does not dwell together with all the afflictions of habits, as well as the minds of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. For example, the great ocean does not decrease or increase because all the water is exhausted. Similarly, the Bodhisattva also does not cause the Dharmadhatu to decrease or increase because all the dharmas are exhausted. For example, the extent of the great ocean is immeasurable. Similarly, the wisdom of the Bodhisattva is also immeasurable. For example, the great ocean is deep and difficult to measure. Similarly, the Bodhisattva is also.
