And dedicating all the diligence that perfectly accomplishes all roots of virtue, having perfectly accomplished all roots of virtue, to omniscience, thereby perfecting the perfection of diligence. Meditation is the cause of joy and sentience in the mind. Bodhisattvas, with joy and sentience, complete the accumulation of tranquility, and dedicating that accumulation of tranquility to omniscience, thereby perfecting the perfection of meditation. Hearing is the cause of great wisdom. The great wisdom of bodhisattvas does not grasp at the object of focus, and dedicating the hearing without an object of focus to omniscience, thereby perfecting the perfection of wisdom. Similarly, all virtuous dharmas, whatever cause of virtuous dharma is accumulated, the result of that will naturally arise manifestly. That cause and condition is called appropriate attention. Furthermore, regarding the term "appropriate," the appropriateness of all dharmas is "self." Just as there is no self in "self," so too there is no self in all sentient beings. Just as "self" is emptiness, so too all dharmas are empty. Just as "self" is merely a designation, so too all dharmas are merely designations. Therefore, bodhisattvas who diligently apply themselves to appropriateness unite all dharmas equally. Whatever is the equality of all dharmas is the equality of all Buddha-dharmas. Therefore, bodhisattvas who diligently apply themselves to appropriateness perfectly accomplish the dharmas of the Buddhas. Son of good family, how then does a bodhisattva not decline from supernormal knowledge and have power over all dharmas? Here, son of good family, or renunciant, or brahmin, those who develop supernormal knowledge without having destroyed the view of the aggregates, may also decline from those supernormal knowledges. Furthermore, bodhisattvas, having completely destroyed the sixty-two views that arise from the root of the view of the aggregates, and developing supernormal knowledge without any views or acceptance, possess wisdom, possess prajna, possess intelligence, possess patience, possess discipline, and abide in samadhi.

Dwelling on the ground, body secluded, mind secluded. With such wisdom, one draws near inwardly and does not wander outwardly. A state without a place, yet possessing a place. Possessing a mind of awareness, possessing a mind of joy. Examining with utmost scrutiny. A supremely white intellect, undisturbed by afflictions, attaining clarity. Wisdom without dimness. Accumulating the accumulation of merit. Accumulating the accumulation of wisdom. Accumulating the accumulation of tranquility. Accumulating the accumulation of insight. Steadfast through generosity. Adorned with discipline. Clothed in the armor of patience. Wearing the helmet of diligence. Abiding in meditative concentration. Possessing an intellect that has thoroughly cultivated wisdom. Accompanied by loving-kindness. Abiding in great compassion. Manifestly accomplishing through skillful means. Possessing such qualities, one generates higher knowledge. Until the essence of enlightenment, one is exceedingly superior through those higher knowledges, and through those higher knowledges, one has mastery over all phenomena. Seeing all forms. Hearing all sounds. Entering all minds, remembering countless eons. Transforming through all miraculous powers. Attaining the bliss of the exhaustion of defilements. And having mastery over all the various conceptualizations and discriminations of the mind. Thus, one abides in the spontaneous accomplishment of all phenomena. Son of good family, thus the bodhisattva does not decline from higher knowledge and has mastery over all phenomena. Son of good family, how does the bodhisattva deeply enter the profound nature of the Dharma, which is difficult for all shravakas and pratyekabuddhas to realize? Son of good family, what is called profound is dependent origination. The nature of dependent origination is as follows: Conditioned by ignorance is action. Conditioned by action is consciousness. Conditioned by consciousness are name and form. Conditioned by name and form are the six sense bases. Conditioned by the six sense bases is contact. Conditioned by contact is feeling. Conditioned by feeling is craving. Conditioned by craving is grasping. Conditioned by grasping is becoming. Conditioned by becoming is birth. Conditioned by birth are aging, death, sorrow, lamentation.
