The mind is not entirely afflicted, and the discipline is also not entirely afflicted by its nature. Son of good family, the Bodhisattva who abides in this way, his discipline is like the sky. Then, the Blessed One spoke these verses at that time: Guard the stainless discipline of the mind, without suffering. Body and mind are also pure, restrain all speech and mind. The wise are always inwardly peaceful, and not arrogant with discipline. Wisdom speaks and does not dwell in the mind, relying on the mind of enlightenment. Whatever deeds have not been done, thoughts have not been thought, and thus have not been contemplated, that is neither red nor blue nor yellow, color and form do not abide. Formless, untrue, unmoving, solitary like the sky. Discipline has no place to be seen, praised by all the wise. That discipline is extremely peaceful, peaceful, pacifying afflictions. The ultimate of calm abiding and insight, the ultimate demonstrator. Those who are liberated from bondage, they rely on discipline. Therefore, discipline is the cause of liberation, the root of enlightenment. Those who practice, dwell in solitary places, with few desires and contentment. Reducing possessions, meditating in solitude, training the mind. That place of discipline is the pillar of the mind, the support of liberation. Therefore, adorned with discipline, the path is easy, abiding in liberation. Free from the wavering, arrogant mind, cutting off the afflictions of views. Like the sky, equal, love pervades, practicing to the end. For the sake of enlightenment, determined not to abandon, not to conceive of all enlightenment. Any wise person who is content, such is the other shore of discipline. Thus ends the second fascicle of The Questions of Noble Akashagarbha. Son of good family, how is the patience of a Bodhisattva like the sky? Son of good family, if one possesses four qualities, then the patience of a Bodhisattva is like the sky. What are the four? They are: Because speech is like the sky, even if scolded, one does not scold back. Because the body is like the sky, even if beaten, one does not strike back. Because the mind is like the sky, even if slandered, one does not slander back. Because intention is like the sky, even if angered, one does not become angry back. Son of good family, if one possesses these four qualities, then the patience of a Bodhisattva is like the sky. Son of good family, this purity of the patience of Bodhisattvas, which is like the sky
