Thus, their thought is definitely Bodhi. Even if they give away everything, they will not become unhappy. They have no timidity and no arrogance. They meditate on all phenomena as being like the sky. They will not become happier than that, and they have no timidity. The nature of my self has been pure from the beginning. With the purity of Bodhi, they give alms. They are not attached to the stream of consciousness. Without elaboration, they give alms excellently. With equal mind and equal intention, they give alms. They give without the three levels of superior, middling, and inferior. With completely pure and stainless thought, even if they give away everything, they do not desire fruition. The body and life are impermanent, like illusions. Enjoyments are like dreams and lightning, without essence. Having generated compassion and love for all beings in the world, they give alms without being tainted by worldly dharmas. To purify afflictions, they give away all my wealth. Hoping to become a place of the Victorious One's words, even the demons cannot find fault with me. Having examined in this way, they give away everything. The Ten Powers said that giving is the root. If one dwells well in that, one possesses morality. From the place where morality and qualities dwell, one finds meditation. Meditation, without attachment, perfects wisdom. Giving and taming greatly satisfy the mind. The afflictions also do not arise again from words. Giving is said to benefit oneself and others. Giving pleases with benefit and happiness combined. Giving abandons miserliness and is for the sake of virtue. Therefore, one will not become attached to grasping. One does not give for the sake of others' afflictions, but gives for the sake of purifying one's own mind and for Bodhi. However, one gives with an unflinching mind. In that way, one sees the qualities of Bodhi. However one sees the qualities of Bodhi, in that way one satisfies hundreds of beings. Then again, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Namkhai Nyingpo: Son of lineage, if you possess four qualities, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's morality is like the sky. What are the four? Like this: the equality of body like an image, the equality of sound like a cliff, the equality of mind like an illusion, and the equality of wisdom like the sky. Son of lineage, if you possess these four qualities, the Bodhisattva's morality is like the sky.
