Just as the sky is naturally pure and does not coexist with dust and smoke, so too, the Tathagata who knows the exhaustion of defilements does not coexist with all the imprints of karma and afflictions. Immediately after abiding in this way, that knower of the exhaustion of defilements teaches the Dharma to sentient beings who have defilements and attachments, in order to exhaust the defilements and abandon attachments. Alas! Those sentient beings who arise from untrue pervasive thoughts, you should individually realize those defilements and attachments as they truly are. In order to ensure that they realize the non-reality of the defilements as they truly are, and after realizing them, do not take up any dharma, and because they do not take up anything, they will be completely liberated from suffering, the Tathagata teaches the Dharma by enumerating similar examples in this way. Son of good family, this is the tenth of the Tathagata's deeds of a Tathagata. To that, one should say this: The guide's knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements is extremely vast, unobscured, and endowed with immeasurable qualities. With the power of the ten strengths, he attains the supreme enlightenment. He realizes and fully reveals this peace. The knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements of the hearers is with measure, as the imprints are not destroyed. The supreme guide of the best of men, the imprints are destroyed and is without measure. Likewise, those who touch the enlightenment of the solitary conquerors, they do not have great compassion and fearlessness. After the defilements are completely exhausted, great compassion and fearlessness are also immeasurable. The Buddha abides in the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, and knows the untrue defilements of beings. Because of not knowing this state of reason, all these sentient beings wrongly combine. Therefore, the Victorious One generates inexhaustible compassion, and also teaches the Dharma of impermanence, emptiness, and selflessness. In order to realize this unreal, illusory Dharma, please truly attain the supreme peace. This is life, person, power-born, and son of power, likewise there is no maker, but all these sentient beings are wrongly attached, therefore, the teacher who generates compassion explains liberation. The Sugata is completely without weariness, and the one who truly knows is also without fault. Therefore, the Victorious One always strives in yoga, and for the benefit of beings, he excellently

Demonstrates. This is the one who thoroughly subdues opposing adversaries, an activity in accordance with the Victorious One who possesses the ten powers. The one who possesses the ten powers, abiding in that power, turns the unsurpassed and sacred wheel of Dharma most excellently. Fifth Chapter. Son of the lineage, furthermore, the Tathagata, being well-established in the four fearlessnesses of the Tathagata, performs activities and is a truly complete Buddha. When he makes such a self-declaration, no one in the world, including the gods, can refute the Tathagata with words that do not accord with the Dharma, such as, "You have not manifestly and completely awakened to these dharmas." Why is the Tathagata called a truly complete Buddha? It is because the Tathagata has truly and completely awakened to all dharmas without any difference, whether they are the dharmas of ordinary beings, the dharmas of learners, the dharmas of non-learners, the dharmas of solitary realizers, the dharmas of Bodhi- sattvas, or the dharmas of Buddhas. The Tathagata has truly and completely awakened to all of these in equality. Whether they are worldly dharmas or transcendental dharmas, whether they are dharmas with faults or dharmas without faults, whether they are dharmas with outflows or dharmas without outflows, whether they are conditioned dharmas or unconditioned dharmas, the Tathagata has truly and completely awakened to all of these in equality. What is equality? Equality is emptiness in the nature of seeing. Equality is without characteristics in the nature of characteristics. Equality is without aspiration in the nature of the three realms. Equality is unborn in the nature of birth. Equality is without manifest action in the nature of manifest action. Equality is without arising in the nature of arising. Equality is without alaya in the nature of alaya. Equality is suchness in the nature of the three times. Equality is wisdom and liberation in the nature of ignorance, existence, and craving. Equality is nirvana in the nature of samsara.
