If asked, what is it to be thoroughly knowledgeable? It is to be thoroughly knowledgeable of inner emptiness, outer emptiness, and inner-outer emptiness. He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the body element, the touch element, and the body consciousness element. If asked, how is he thoroughly knowledgeable? He is thoroughly knowledgeable of inner emptiness, outer emptiness, and inner-outer emptiness. He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the mind element, the dharma element, and the mind consciousness element. If asked, how is he thoroughly knowledgeable? He is thoroughly knowledgeable of inner emptiness, outer emptiness, and inner-outer emptiness. He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the earth element, the water element, the fire element, and the wind element. If asked, how is he thoroughly knowledgeable? He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the space element as it is. He is thoroughly knowledgeable of the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. If asked, how is he thoroughly knowledgeable? He is thoroughly knowledgeable that it arises from pervasive conceptualization. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the conditioned element is the characteristic of manifest conditioning. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the unconditioned element is the characteristic of manifest non-conditioning. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the element of all afflictions is the characteristic of adventitious afflictions. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the purified element is the characteristic of naturally luminous nature. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the element of samsara is the characteristic of improper ignorance. He is thoroughly knowledgeable that the realm of nirvana is the characteristic of proper wisdom. Therefore, whatever is the element of the world's abiding, whatever is the element of thoroughly abiding, whatever is the element of subsequent guidance, whatever is the element of obstruction, whatever is the element of combination, whatever is the element of thought, whatever is the element of definite thought, and whatever is the element of support, the Thus-Gone One is thoroughly knowledgeable of all of that. Having known, he also teaches the Dharma accordingly. This is the fourth activity of the Thus-Gone One of the Thus-Gone One. To that, one should say this: The lion among men is skilled in the nature of all the elements. In what place, what element, what kind of conduct, what element is the cause of the arising of vast virtue everywhere, all of that the Sugata thoroughly knows without exception. Merit, non-merit, and the unmoving, arising from causes.

Accommodating. By what cause does one attain the realm of peace? From which realm does one abide and become completely liberated from the realms? That realm is known by the Great Wisdom, the Sugata. The eye realm, as well as form and the mind realm, are known as the nature of emptiness, the essence of the Victor's conduct. Likewise, the ear, nose, tongue, and body, the mind and the dharma realm are also always known as empty. These realms of water, fire, earth, and wind are thoroughly known by the Lion of Men as being equal to space. These realms of desire, form, and formlessness are completely known as truly arising from complete conceptualization. The Victor knows the realm of afflictions as being without inherent existence. The Sugata knows the nature of purification as being the same. The unwise constantly cling to samsara as conditioned, and to nirvana as without the three characteristics. Which realm is the characteristic of entering through non-virtue, and which severs all entrances through virtue? This world with its various realms and multitude of realms, even though the Buddha knows it, I have no prideful thought of thinking, "I know it." Like space, the realms of the infinite directions are thoroughly known by the Lion of Men. That supreme wisdom of the Victor has no end. Beings cannot know its limit. These are the four activities of the protectors, the stainless ones. Through them, they know the rituals for taming beings' realms. Those who have been tamed by performing virtuous deeds, even if they are on a hundred thousand wrong paths, will never arise again. Son of good family, furthermore, the Tathagata also thoroughly knows the faculties of other beings and other individuals, as well as the order of their faculties, just as they are. Son of good family, how does the Tathagata thoroughly know the faculties of other beings and other individuals, as well as the order of their faculties, just as they are? Son of good family, in this regard, the Tathagata also thoroughly knows those beings with dull faculties as having dull faculties, just as they are. Likewise, he also thoroughly knows those with middling faculties. He also thoroughly knows those with sharp faculties. He also thoroughly knows those with superior faculties. He also thoroughly knows those with inferior faculties. By what kind of conceptual faculty does complete desire arise?
