A Bodhisattva, having taken one birth, will transform into eighty trillion. The third gathering will transform into sixty trillion Bodhisattvas. From then on, countless beings will be established in non-retrogression from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Manjushri, the lifespan of the Tathagata King of the Crest of True Wisdom upon attaining enlightenment will be sixty intermediate kalpas. Even after his complete Nirvana, the sacred Dharma will abide for eighty billion trillion years. With the flourishing of the sacred Dharma, that many beings will be tamed. Manjushri, when that Tathagata passes into complete Nirvana, at that time, this Bodhisattva called Great Crest will manifest unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment under me, becoming the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, who will be called Great Array. Thus, the Bodhisattva Great Crest, having been prophesied, will pass into complete Nirvana. Then, at that time, that assembly endowed with all, at that time, in that era, a Bodhisattva called Great Crest will arise, and under that Bhagavan Tathagata King of the Crest of True Wisdom, he will manifest unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, becoming the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, who will be called Great Array, and they will wonder who that might be. Then, the Bhagavan, knowing the thoughts of that assembly endowed with all, spoke to Manjushri, who had become a youth: Manjushri, son of good family, this Brahmin boy called True Joy, who is sitting in front of this speaker of truth, this Brahmin child who is the most excellent among all Brahmin children, will at that time, in that era, become the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, who will be called Great Array. The array of his Buddha-field will be like the Buddha-field of the Tathagata King of the Crest of True Wisdom.

Having heard of the greatness of the qualities and array of the Buddha-field, sixty kotis of nayutas of bodhisattvas from that circle of attendants made the aspiration to be born in that Buddha-field, saying: 'When the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the King of the Crest of True Wisdom, attains unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, may we also be born in that world.' Then the Blessed One prophesied that all of them would be born in that Buddha-field. Then eighty kotis of naked ascetics also spoke in unison, saying: 'Blessed One, may we also be born in that Buddha-field.' Then the Blessed One prophesied that they too would be born in that Buddha-field. Then, from the sky above, ninety kotis of nayutas of gods spoke these words: 'Blessed One, may we also be born in the Buddha-field, the world known as Supremely Adorned, where the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the King of the Crest of True Wisdom, has attained enlightenment. May we also see that inconceivable array of qualities.' The Blessed One said: 'Gods, you too will be born in the world known as Supremely Adorned, and you will also please that Tathagata. Gods, you too will attain unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment in that very world known as Supremely Adorned, and you will become Tathagatas with different names, but the length of your lives will be the same.' Then, at that time, this three-thousand great-thousand world system shook in six ways, and from beneath the earth arose kotis of nayutas of lotuses with petals of Jambu River gold, with clusters of great mani jewels and Indranila gems, possessing sandalwood essence, and with streams of mani jewel vaidurya.

Millions of lotuses burst forth from the earth and manifested. On each of these lotuses, there was the form of a Bodhisattva seated in the lotus position, with bodies adorned with excellent marks and signs, bowing and prostrating to the Bhagavan. They covered the Bhagavan with nets of clouds of various jewels and spoke these words: "Bhagavan, we have come from other world realms to hear the Tathagata's teachings on the inconceivable qualities of the Bodhisattvas. We are here to behold the Bhagavan, to pay homage, to make offerings, and to behold this son of truth and this assembled retinue. Bhagavan, by hearing this Dharma discourse, countless Bodhisattvas in inconceivable Buddhafields have become irreversible from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." The Tathagata has no false words, The Sugata's self-arisen words will not change. Beings rejoice, this speaker of truth, In a pure, stainless, harmless kalpa. In countless kalpas in the world, He attains enlightenment, the crown of wisdom of truth. Afflictions and harm will not arise in him, Therefore, that kalpa is harmless. The name of the world is also observed, That kalpa becomes a heap of glory. That kalpa of the guide, Becomes worthy of being seen by gods and humans. Piles of jewels and stables, Become pleasant and extremely beautiful in every way. Covered with nets of Jambu River gold, It proclaims the pleasing sound of the Dharma. Excellent lion banners are always raised, Hundreds of pavilions of precious jewels are spread. The base of the walls is immaculate jewels, It will become like the abode of the gods. With lakes and lotus ponds, It will always be well adorned.
