Just as it was said, those who possess profound wisdom should understand that they have been empowered by the Tathagata. The Bodhisattva Samantabhadra said: "Noble son or noble daughter, whoever hears such teachings as these, those noble beings should also be regarded as having been prophesied about the Buddha's teachings. What need is there to mention those who have obtained these teachings?" Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan and said: "Bhagavan, please look upon me. Because I do not know such teachings as these, I am like a blind person. Bhagavan, it is not only that I alone have become like a blind person, but also, Bhagavan, all those sentient beings who have not heard these teachings are also like blind people." The Bhagavan said: "It is so, it is so, just as you have said." Sharadvatiputra said: "Bhagavan, please explain the inconceivable nature." The Bhagavan said: "Sharadvatiputra, go and urge Indra, Brahma, and all the world protectors. Also proclaim the command of the Tathagata. Also proclaim this Dharani called 'The Supreme Seal of the Dharma, Jewel Tala'." Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra, having heard the command of the Tathagata, and being completely thirsty for the meaning of this Jewel Tala Dharani, spoke to Indra, Brahma, and the world protectors about this matter, and gathered all those who would listen to the Dharma. The Tathagata will explain the Jewel Tala Dharani and also show the inconceivable nature, so please gather together! Otherwise, you will regret it later. O friends, it is very difficult to find such precious sutras as these appearing in the world! Then, in that very instant, Indra, Brahma, and all the world protectors gathered together and circumambulated the Bhagavan three times. Then, standing before the Bhagavan with their palms joined, they requested the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan,

The earth requested the explanation of the Dharani of the deity Taralala. Then, the Blessed One remained silent, indicating his consent. Indra, Brahma, and all the world protectors requested two or three times, but the Blessed One still remained silent. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra requested the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, please explain the Dharani called the deity Taralala. Sugata, please explain. Then, at that time, the Blessed One extended his tongue from his mouth. He said: Noble son, whoever requests the Tathagata for the sake of the meaning of this Dharani of the deity Taralala, all of them will never regress from the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. The Blessed One made the sound known throughout the three thousand great thousand worlds. Then, the Blessed One again said to the venerable Sharadvatiputra: Sharadvatiputra, go and request Manjushri, who has become a youth, to teach the Dharma. At that time, Manjushri, who had become a youth, was sitting cross-legged and motionless near another tree and a sal tree. In a multi-storied building that surpassed the splendor of hundreds of thousands of millions of suns, he was surrounded by Indra, Brahma, and the world protectors, facing forward. He had a golden body, shining brightly and radiantly. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra went to where Manjushri, who had become a youth, was, and upon arriving, said to Manjushri, who had become a youth: Noble son, the Tathagata requests you to teach the Dharma. Then, Manjushri, who had become a youth, said to the venerable Sharadvatiputra: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, what is the fundamental meaning of the word 'Tathagata'? Sharadvatiputra said: Noble son, your wisdom is profound, I cannot compare with you. Manjushri said: Humble your mind a little, and I will explain it in a way that you can understand.
