army, which is very powerful, I am very worried that this Buddha who guides the world will be destroyed. If he is destroyed, then these worlds will wander very helplessly. Then, Indra, Brahma, and the world guardians grasped the Blessed One's feet and prayed thus: Our words, as those of shallow wisdom, are earnest, goodness abides, Lord, you are compassionate. Countless gods are tormented by great sorrow, now please nourish them with the essence of the Dharma! Then, the Blessed One looked at that perfect retinue with loving eyes, and in order to give them a great sigh of relief, spoke thus in the voice of Brahma: Now you should not be afraid, you should not be afraid! Even if all the demons gather together with their mounts, they cannot make a single hair of mine feel fear, let alone my whole body? Now, let all the worlds breathe a sigh of relief! I will always preach the Dharma here. For those who have lost their way, I will personally point out the immaculate right path. I have done many difficult things in the past, and I have also given very abundant food and drink, and I have also given lodging and medicine, not a small amount, now who can harm me? I have given horses, elephants, vehicles, and decorations such as fluttering banners, as well as male and female servants, towns and villages. Who can harm me? Wife, sons, daughters, many servants, and the desirable power, the lineage of kings on earth, I have given for the benefit of sentient beings. Why will my body be destroyed today? Head, nose, ears, eyes, and body, skin, blood, and limbs, etc., I have also given my life to sentient beings. Who can harm me? I have offered with reverence from my own hands to countless Buddhas, always delighting in discipline, hearing, and patience. Who can destroy me? I have done many very difficult things in the past, and through equal abiding, I have greatly accomplished them. Even if the body is cut, I will not be shaken, who can harm me in any way? I have subdued the afflictions, I will surely become a Buddha, I have loving-kindness for all sentient beings, I have no anger, jealousy, or stinginess. My
