After reciting these mantras, the fifty young demons were very happy. Their minds were filled with joy, and they said: 'The elements are like illusions and mirages. The world of beings is created by conceptualization. You have shown the path of peace. We take refuge in the supreme giver, the Three Jewels.' All fifty of those young demons bowed their heads at the feet of the venerable Gampopa, the son of the loving mother, in the middle of the street, and sat before him to listen to the Dharma. At that time, the venerable Rahula entered the great city of Rajagriha from the western gate for alms. At the city gate, there were fifty young demons, very youthful, with handsome faces, wearing monastic robes, singing, dancing, and wandering everywhere. They grabbed the venerable Rahula with both hands and ran through the streets, singing and dancing, and said to Rahula: 'Ascetic, sing a song! Ascetic, dance!' Rahula said: 'Friends, listen to a song that you have never heard before!' They became silent, and the venerable Rahula ran and sang in song: 'All things are impermanent, like illusions and bubbles. Conditioned things are of a changing nature, and nothing is permanent. Seeing the mirage disappear, there is no reality in it. The wise know that all dharmas quickly perish. All children are attached to the suffering dharma. All contacts are a burden of suffering, and feelings do not exist either. How does one cultivate faith and practice the path to enlightenment? In this way, one can be liberated from all suffering, without any companion. All dharmas have one characteristic: abandoning thoughts is good. Endowed with selflessness, all actions are the nature of reality itself. There is no life or nourishment, no person or agent. Abandon the deceptions of the demons and dedicate your mind to enlightenment. Like lightning in the sky, consciousness arises in the senses. Touch, feeling, and thought are all selfless. If examined properly, there is nothing real. Deceiving the groups of children, they enter like a wheel. If all the aggregates are examined properly, there is no agent.'

None. The true edge is emptiness, free from all edges. By practicing the path to enlightenment, one attains enlightenment through guidance. This unerring nature of reality is spoken of as the Dharma that protects. Thus it is said: Sumunde (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Vimunde (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Sundajati (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Sili Sili Sili (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Avasili (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Avahasili (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Tathata Sili (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning), Bhuta Koti Sili Svaha (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning). The venerable Subhuti, with a flowing and melodious voice, spoke these verses and these secret mantra words. Then, those fifty young demons were overjoyed and, with great faith in their hearts, said these words: "Due to the influence of evil friends, we have never heard such a Dharma. Ignorant and unknowing, we have committed evil deeds through objects. Now, in the presence of the Buddha's son, we openly confess. For the benefit of beings, we aspire to attain Buddhahood and plant virtuous roots." All fifty of those young demons bowed their heads at the feet of the venerable Subhuti in the middle of that street, and sat before him to listen to the Dharma. At that time, through the power of the Buddha, that street appeared to be about a hundred yojanas wide. In the middle of that street, the venerable Shariputra sat facing north. The great Maudgalyayana sat facing west. Gango sat facing south. Subhuti sat facing east, each about half a yojana apart. In the center of the ground among those four great Shravakas, a lotus with a circumference of fifty cubits appeared, its water was the gold of the Jambudvipa River, its petals were blue lapis lazuli, its stamens were the essence of glory, its heart was pearl, its fragrance surpassed that of divine incense, and it was born from transcendental roots of virtue. From that lotus, light arose. That light illuminated the three thousand great thousand world realms, and the lotus in that street appeared to be about the height of three men. Among the gods of the four great kingly orders, the height of that lotus appeared to be fifty divine yojanas. Among the gods of the Thirty-Three, the height of that lotus appeared to be a hundred yojanas. Among the gods of Akanishta, the height of that lotus appeared to be half a yojana. That lotus'
