Thus, men and women, goddesses, practitioners, wanderers, ascetics, Brahmins, kings, great ministers, Shanglons, Shanglon's servants, merchants, villagers, people of the region, householders, and all other beings who have become human, as well as those born in the animal realm, such as elephants, horses, deer, livestock, and birds, if they see you, they will gain faith. Similarly, grass, trees, herbs, forests, flowers, and fruits will also respectfully bow down in the direction where you are. Likewise, houses, palaces, multi-storied buildings, monasteries, pavilions, windows, and stables will be overwhelmed by the splendor of your merit, and they will respectfully bow down in the direction where you are. Ananda, for example, when the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, manifested unobstructed liberation and realized the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, the grass, trees, herbs, forests, flowers, and fruits around the Bodhi tree, as before, both humans and non-humans would respectfully bow down in the direction where the Tathagata was. Ananda, similarly, you, noble son, with the root of virtue of joining your palms and bowing without discrimination, in all your actions, humans and non-humans, and all the forests, will pay homage, respectfully pay homage, and manifestly pay homage in the direction where you are. Ananda, any son or daughter of good family who, upon hearing this Dharma exposition prophecy about the Tathagata's complete passing into Nirvana or now manifestly present and abiding, joins their palms with great enthusiasm and firmly understands and believes, those are the ripened results that I have taught.

Not to mention those who, having heard such a thing, will gain faith, and those who will believe with superior intention, and who will definitely contemplate, and who will generate correct perception, and who will be without hesitation, and who will be without doubt. All those sons or daughters of good families, I see with the Buddha's eye and know with the Buddha's wisdom, they have not only attended to one Buddha, they have not only planted roots of virtue in one Buddha. Ananda, all those sons and daughters of good families, just like those who are now gathered in this retinue in my presence and have come here to behold my great Nirvana, from now on, they will also go to the Bodhi tree of the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha Maitreya, and from attaining the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment until Nirvana, they will make great offerings and attendances. Likewise, they will also see the great Nirvana of the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha Maitreya. They will also see the four boys coming before that Tathagata, just as they are now in my presence, and they will also hear the Dharma. At that time, they will also hear the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas emitting vast Dharma sounds from the aimless pores, and having heard them, they will also generate joy. Ananda, therefore, you should repeatedly bow down and join your palms to such a Sutra that speaks of the definitive meaning, and you should also generate faith in your mind. Why is that? All will perfectly worship you, and the world with gods will also greatly revere you, and gods and humans will also make offerings to your completely extinguished body. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the venerable Unwavering One, saying: Unwavering One, do you see those forty billion gods who, having heard this Dharma discourse from the sky above, have folded their palms, bowed their bodies, and are seated? He replied: Blessed One, yes, I see them. He said: Unwavering One, those who have faith in the Dharma, with their palms folded and their bodies deeply bowed in faith, the root of virtue they have accumulated will ensure that they will not fall into lower realms for countless eons. They will be reborn as gods or humans. And when they are reborn as humans, each one will possess a wheel-turning monarch's rule more numerous than the sands of the Ganges River. They will always please the Buddhas who appear, and after those Buddhas, they will correctly cultivate the roots of virtue, and ultimately attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and all of them will become Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, all Buddhas worthy of the utmost reverence, and their names will all be in accordance with the name 'Worthy of Reverence.' Again, at that time, all those named Gya Delight, Gya Victory Difficult, Gya Great Power, Glorious God, Victorious God, Shoulder Ascender, Good Intelligence, Fearless, Wealth, Truth, the Eye of the Power of the North, and Gya All-Patient, together with about five hundred attendants, gathered in that very assembly to make offerings to the Tathagata. They folded their palms towards where the Blessed One was, bowed their bodies downwards, wept, uttered lamentations, and with their eyes filled with tears, they entreated the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, we make offerings to the Blessed One, and to the Bodhisattva without characteristics, and to this assembly of Bodhisattvas, and to the great Shravaka Sangha of the Blessed One, and to the name of the Dharma.
