It is not obtaining the cause of the ground. Not obtaining the cause of what has now arisen is called proper application. When all dharmas are seen to be extinguished by their very nature, then it is proper seeing. When all dharmas are seen to be naturally pacified and naturally entered into equanimity, then it is proper seeing. When all dharmas are seen to be never born, then it is proper seeing. When all dharmas are seen to be never born, never arisen, and always completely passed into nirvana, and who sees, and what is seen is also not seen, how it is not seen, and not appearing, seeing in this way is called proper seeing. Then the Blessed One gave praise to the great, pure, and stainless glory of Brahma, saying: "Well done, well done! Son of good family, well done, well done! If teaching or being taught, it should be taught in this way." Proper effort is without delusion towards any dharma. Proper effort is without obscuration towards any dharma. Proper effort is without bondage or liberation anywhere. Why is that? Because proper effort is without striving to abandon or separate from any dharma. Whoever sees all dharmas correctly and sees them as they are, that is their correct view. What is seeing dharmas as they are? It is just not seeing. What is called not seeing is a synonym for unborn. What is called unborn is a synonym for unarisen. What is called unarisen is a synonym for unseen. I, having understood this, spoke these words: "If all dharmas are unborn and unseen, then one will enter into the realm of true and stainless." This is the correct view, that is, entering into the realm of true and stainless. Why is it called entering into the realm of true and stainless? Because whatever is my equality is the equality of no-self. Whatever is the equality of no-self is the equality of all dharmas. Therefore, it is called entering into the realm of true and stainless.

Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Fearless Son of Loving-kindness addressed the Blessed One, saying: "Blessed One, although a Bodhisattva correctly knows, hears, believes, and delights in all dharmas as being of such a nature and as being completely pacified by their very nature, he does not become completely pacified in the intermediate state. Blessed One, this is wonderful! Sugata, this is wonderful!" The Blessed One said: "Fearless Son, those Bodhisattvas who are skilled in means completely embrace all their aspirations with four dharmas because they possess that skill in means. What are the four? They are: great loving-kindness, great compassion, the wisdom of omniscience, and the continuous upholding of the Dharma by the appearance of Buddhas. Fearless Son, these four dharmas completely embrace all dharmas, so that even though one knows, hears, believes, and delights in the complete pacification of all dharmas by their very nature, one does not become completely pacified in the intermediate state. Therefore, for the sake of sentient beings, one knows this Dharma and Discipline, and seeing and ascertainment are not unseen. Why is that? Because one has not completely abandoned all sentient beings." Then, the great and powerful Immaculate Glory Treasury addressed the Blessed One, saying: "Blessed One, what is the fault of the Bodhisattva of whom the Blessed One said, 'He will surely fall'?" The Blessed One said: "Son of good family, Bodhisattvas have no view of what is a fault, nor do they have any conceptualization. However, if they focus on the Hearer Vehicle and do not focus on all sentient beings, do not focus on the lineage of the Buddhas, do not focus on the lineage of the Dharma and the Sangha, do not focus on the Great Vehicle, and having abandoned omniscience, do not look, and do not make aspirations for perfect and complete enlightenment, and because of weariness with all conditioned things, they enter into the faultlessness of the Hearers. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva, however, towards all sentient beings

Having aimed at that. Having aimed at the lineage of the Three Jewels, and having aimed at the Great Vehicle, one looks at the wisdom of omniscience, not looking at body and life. Even knowing that all dharmas are of one nature, one does not enter into the faultless. In order to observe sentient beings, one also becomes familiar with meditation, and one does not fall into the faultless state of the Hearers. Son of good family, in that way, you should also know that bodhisattvas also have no faults, and do not enter into the faultless. Thus having spoken, the Blessed One was requested by the great and immaculate splendor of the clan chief as follows: Blessed One, it is wonderful that the wondrous dharma of the great bodhisattvas is not possessed by all the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Then, Manjushri, become a youth, gathered in that very assembly and sat down. Then, the bodhisattva mahasattva Sredmedkyibu said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, Manjushri, become a youth, at this time of concentration that gathers all merits, there is no tantra of instruction. Then, Manjushri, become a youth, said this to the bodhisattva mahasattva Sredmedkyibu: Son of good family, a bodhisattva mahasattva does not practice for enlightenment because he desires merit. He does not practice for enlightenment because he desires gain, respect, verses, desires for heaven, desires for enjoyment, desires for retinue, desires for fame, renown, and praise. Sredmedkyibu said: Manjushri, then why do bodhisattvas practice for enlightenment? Manjushri said: Son of good family, bodhisattvas practice for enlightenment because they have compassion for all sentient beings. Bodhisattvas desire dharma, desire to eliminate the suffering of all sentient beings, desire to completely pacify untrue afflictions, desire to be like their own suffering, and in return, benefit
