The Noble Samādhi that Gathers All Merits, called The Great Vehicle Sūtra. The Noble Samādhi that Gathers All Merits, called The Great Vehicle Sūtra. In Sanskrit: Ārya Sarva Puṇya Samucchaya Samādhi Nāma Mahāyāna Sūtra. In Tibetan: The Noble Samādhi that Gathers All Merits, called The Great Vehicle Sūtra. Volume One. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was in the great garden protected by mango trees in Wide Expanse, in a place of tiered pavilions. There were ten thousand monks, and the entire great community of monks were all Arhats, exhausters of outflows, without afflictions, possessing power, with minds utterly liberated, with wisdom utterly liberated, knowers, great elephants, having done what was to be done, having accomplished what was to be accomplished, having cast off burdens, having attained their own benefit, having completely exhausted all bonds to existence, with minds utterly liberated by correct knowledge, having reached the supreme other shore of mastery over all minds, just that. Twenty thousand Bodhisattvas, all of whom were also non-returning, having obtained dharanis, having unimpeded eloquence, having obtained supernormal knowledges, skilled in cultivating samādhi, having reached the supreme other shore of mindfulness, intelligence, understanding, steadfastness, wisdom, and skillful means, just that. Namely: Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Conduct Intelligence, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Lion Intelligence, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Supreme Intelligence, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Distinction Intelligence, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Increasing Intelligence, and Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Intelligence Without Limit, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Dharma Intelligence, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Maitreya, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Son of Non-Heat, those and other twenty thousand Bodhisattvas, and forty thousand sons of gods, all of whom were also truly entered into the Great Vehicle, just that.

Brahmā and many world-protectors were dwelling together. Then, the Blessed One, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of retinues and facing them, taught the Dharma. At that time, the Blessed One's teaching became extremely essential, overwhelming all the groups of non-Buddhists. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Sredmed's son rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, the Blessed One's teaching has become extremely essential, overwhelming all the evil-doing non-Buddhists, the countless wanderers, and the naked ones, etc., and has become magnificent. Blessed One, for that reason, please take good care of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas. Please benefit the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas. Please protect the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas. Please increase the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas. Please praise, delight, and teach the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas. Please take care of the Dharma principles of the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas so that the lineage of the Buddha will not be cut off. Please do not abandon all sentient beings. In what way should the Dharma benefit, so that the path to liberation is shown? Even after the Tathāgata has passed into complete nirvāṇa, please ensure that the Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas do not fall away from the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and do not completely fall away; and for the sake of having the Dharma of not abandoning, may they have mindfulness in order to see the Buddha, hear the Dharma, attend to the Sangha, and not be separated; may they have intelligence in order to understand the meaning of the Dharma; may they have realization in order to subsequently attain the realization of meaning; and may they have the ability to completely purify their own minds."
