Then Jid said this: "Bhagavan, it is wonderful that the Tathagata has taught this collection of generosity in order to completely grasp all the Buddha's teachings! Bhagavan, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who possess such a collection of generosity will never completely lose merit, will never completely lose wisdom, and will never completely lose prajna. The Bhagavan said: "Son of good family, it is just so. As you say, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who possess such a collection of generosity will have inexhaustible merit and will manifest merit like an ocean. Because they possess the noble Dharma, they will not become poor. Because they possess the stream of Dharma, they will become very wealthy. Because they possess the seven treasures, they will become rich. Because they possess the marks of a hundred merits, they are also endowed with great merit. Because they sustain all sentient beings, they are also fields of merit. The Bhagavan then said to the great and powerful one, the stainless splendor: "Son of good family, what is the collection of morality of the Bodhisattvas? It is not violating morality, not abandoning the training, having compassion for those who have broken their vows, having great respect for those who uphold morality, completely purifying the three doors of the body, completely purifying the four doors of speech, completely purifying the three doors of the mind, properly taking up and practicing the ten virtuous paths of action, leading others into them, establishing others in them, not praising oneself, not slandering others, abiding in the nature of those who are pure in morality, not being arrogant with morality, not abandoning diligence, not wavering from the qualities and resources that have been cultivated, abiding in the noble lineage, guarding one's own mind, not seeing the faults of others as defects, not committing any evil deeds, not rejoicing in the attainment of worldly existence, and causing others to be virtuous.
