I said "Well done" to the one who possesses, Kungawo. Well done! Well done! Kungawo, you fully know by the power of the Buddha. I am indeed that one. In that world realm called Pure, for the benefit and happiness of sentient beings, I teach the Dharma with that very name. Kungawo, that is also a manifestation of the Samadhi of Heroic Progress." Then, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Wisdom Steadfast, "Wisdom Steadfast, thus, the measure of my life is seven hundred countless kalpas. After that, I will completely pass into Nirvana by completely passing into Nirvana." The assembly endowed with all heard this measure of the Buddha's life and exclaimed in one voice, marveling, "The abodes of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat Great Lords, and the inconceivable differences of the Buddha's miraculous manifestations and qualities, and the attainment and becoming the supreme leader of conduct are all marvelous. Thus, the measure of the life of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni is seven hundred countless kalpas, but in this world realm of Saha, the measure of life is short. May all sentient beings obtain this measure of life and this Samadhi of Heroic Progress!" Thus they spoke. Then, the Bhagavan again spoke to the Bodhisattva Wisdom Steadfast, "Wisdom Steadfast, this teaching of the Samadhi of Heroic Progress, whether in a village, city, region, district, temple, or monastery, wherever it is practiced, demons or gods of the demonic class who seek flaws and look for faults will not find any flaws. Wisdom Steadfast, that Dharma speaker who writes, reads, upholds, recites, or holds this Samadhi of Heroic Progress, on top of not fearing humans or non-humans, should expect to obtain those twenty inconceivable distinctions of qualities. What are the twenty? They are: inconceivable merit, inconceivable wisdom, inconceivable methods, inconceivable fearlessness, Dharma

Those who wish to realize the state of becoming "Mother" should have faith in this Samadhi of Courageous Conduct. When this Samadhi of Courageous Conduct is taught, countless sentient beings enter into the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Those who abide on the Bodhisattva grounds are even more immeasurable. Those who have attained forbearance are even more immeasurable. Those who are bound by one lifetime also become immeasurable. Eighty million kotis of Bodhisattvas have attained this Samadhi of Courageous Conduct. Eighty-six thousand living beings have generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Twenty-eight thousand monks and nuns have their minds completely liberated from defilements without grasping. Eighty-six thousand laymen and laywomen have purified Dharma eyes, free from dust and defilement, regarding the Dharma. Thirty-six million kotis of gods have realized the Dharma. Then, Manjushri, the youthful one, said to the Blessed One: "O Blessed One, with what kind of words born from meaning can future Bodhisattvas learn and practice the teachings of the past Bodhisattvas, so that they may obtain uninterrupted confidence? Please explain to me such words born from meaning. With what kind of words born from meaning can one obtain dharani? Please explain those words born from meaning, O Blessed One. That is beneficial to many beings, brings happiness to many beings, has compassion for the world, and is for the benefit, medicine, and happiness of the general public, gods, and humans. It is so that future Bodhisattvas, great beings, in later times and later ages, may uphold the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment that the Thus-Gone One has accomplished in countless eons. And when the sacred Dharma declines, they will again make it a lamp to illuminate the Dharma. They will enter into fully upholding the sacred Dharma, see the true limits and suchness of all dharmas, and benefit those with excessive pride."
