The ground was filled with people and beings. Manjushri, that world was made of lapis lazuli and embroidered with honeycomb patterns of gold thread. In all the honeycomb patterns, there were precious trees with flowers and fruits. That great earth was as comfortable to the touch as a Kacalindika. Manjushri, in that Buddha-field, there were no animals, hungry ghosts, or asuras. Manjushri, those beings who were born in that Buddha-field also possessed the path of the ten virtuous actions. That Buddha-field was also exceedingly pure, perfect in every way, and complete in every way. That city was called Unborn. Manjushri, At that time, the lifespan of the people reached one hundred thousand years, and no one died prematurely. Manjushri, in that city called Unborn, there arose a king named Victorious King. Manjushri, that king named Victorious King had a thousand sons. Manjushri, King Victorious, together with his thousand sons, served the Blessed One, the Tathagata Dharma Lamp, along with the Sangha of Hearers, with robes, food, bedding, medicine for the sick, and utensils. They also honored him with all kinds of comfortable things. He was regarded as a guru. He was respected. He was attended to. He was venerated. He was offered to. Manjushri, then King Victorious, together with his thousand sons, asked the Blessed One, the Tathagata Dharma Lamp, about all these teachings. The Tathagata, knowing his superior intention, taught this Dharma. As soon as they heard it, King Victorious, together with his thousand sons, understood the Dharma. Having heard this Dharma, they obtained unfailing eloquence. Manjushri, therefore, whether now or after the Tathagata has passed away, any son or daughter of good family who desires unfailing eloquence and unobstructed elo

One should strive for the Dharma of such a state, which is profound and unblemished by desire. It should be studied. Such profound Dharma phrases should be grasped. Everything should be understood. It should be practiced. Such categories of profound Dharma, having understood everything, should also be taught to others. There should be no stinginess towards all Dharmas. Having spoken thus, Manjushri, transformed into a youth, addressed the Bhagavan: Thus he requested: For the sake of the benefit of sentient beings in the future, it is essential that in the future, in later times and later ages, this category of Dharma will be practiced again, please, Bhagavan, bless it. Then, the Bhagavan, knowing the request of Manjushri, transformed into a youth, blessed this category of Dharma. After the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One blessed this category of Dharma, those who are tamed by tolerance of the Dharma attained tolerance. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the venerable Ananda, and Manjushri transformed into a youth, and the Bodhisattva Mahamati, and the Bodhisattva Maitreya, and other Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who were not them, and those great Shravakas, and that entire retinue with all its members, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavan had said. The Noble Samadhi of Heroic Progress, the Great Vehicle Sutra, is complete. The Indian Abbot Shakya Prabha and the Lotsawa Bandita Ratna Rakshita of Zhuchen translated, edited, and finalized it, and it was also corrected with new terminology. The Noble Samadhi of Heroic Progress, the Great Vehicle Sutra.
