Having heard these words of the gods and the inconceivable merit of Manjushri Kumara, they generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment with heightened intention. Moreover, that generation of mind was connected with enlightenment. They also spoke these words: "Bhagavan, we are willing to give up our lives, but not to give up sentient beings. Bhagavan, may we, through the root of virtue that generates the power of hearing this Heroic Progress Samadhi, obtain the ten powers of a Bodhisattva. What are the ten? Bhagavan, may we obtain these ten powers of a Bodhisattva." Then, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Steadfast Wisdom: "Steadfast Wisdom, whether now or after my passing, anyone who listens to and believes in this Heroic Progress Samadhi will be endowed with these ten powers of a Bodhisattva."
