If one sees that land, named the World of Faith and Joy, all those beings will be adorned by having attained faith. In that land, there will be no beings whose minds are constantly entangled by desire. Their minds will not be constantly entangled by hatred. Their minds will not be constantly entangled by delusion. All those beings will be endowed with practicing the Dharma and will attain faith in the Dharma. O son of good family, the lifespan of that Tathagata, the King Renowned as Stainless Light, will be the measure of ten intermediate kalpas. Sentient beings will definitely attain liberation through the three vehicles. In that land, Bodhisattvas who have attained the Samadhi of Heroic Conduct and possess transformations in all Dharmas will be immeasurable. O son of good family, at that time and in that era, all the demons and gods of the demonic hordes that appear will also truly enter the Great Vehicle. They will abide in compassion for all sentient beings. That Buddha-field will also be completely free from the three lower realms. It will transcend the eight unfavorable conditions and will constantly be adorned as a Buddha-field, resembling the northern continent of unpleasant sounds. That Buddha-field will be one where demons and opponents are vanquished and is free from all views. O Bhagavan, after that Tathagata, the King Renowned as Stainless Light, passes into complete Nirvana, the sacred Dharma spoken by the Sugata will remain for hundreds of thousands of millions of years. O son of good family, this son of the gods, with such adornments, will manifest perfect and complete enlightenment in this Saha world. Then, the Bodhisattva Steadfast Intellect spoke thus to the son of the gods, the Buddha Manifest Intellect: "Son of the gods, you have been prophesied by the Tathagata to attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, which is extremely rare to obtain." The son of the gods said: "Son of good family, not attaining all dharmas is the attainment of the Dharma. Whoever clings to even a small amount of Dharma has no attainment of the Dharma. Son of good family, thus...

That which is the non-attainment of all dharmas, the separate non-attainment, the absence of an object, is the attainment of dharma. Son of good family, I have also well attained that attainment. When this was spoken and prophesied to that son of the gods, twenty-five thousand beings who had previously generated roots of virtue generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. A trillion bodhisattvas attained forbearance of the unborn dharmas. Then the venerable Śāriputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, when this Samādhi of Heroic Progress is taught, it is wonderful that the Evil One does not come to make an effort with his eyes! Sugata, it is wonderful!" The Blessed One said: "Śāriputra, do you wish to see the Evil One?" He replied: "Blessed One, I wish to see him." Then, at that time, the Blessed One emitted light from the ūrṇākośa between his eyebrows, which caused the entire perfect retinue to see the Evil One bound by the five bonds, unable to cut those bonds or be liberated from them. The Blessed One said: "Śāriputra, do you see the Evil One bound by the five bonds?" He replied: "Blessed One, I see him. Sugata, I see him." The Blessed One said: "Śāriputra, this is the most excellent of the Samādhi of Heroic Progress. Śāriputra, in whatever Buddha-field this Samādhi of Heroic Progress is taught, in those Buddha-fields of the Teacher Buddha, whatever demons or gods of the demonic class are nearby, with minds of intense hatred, for the purpose of obstructing the Dharma, all of them will know that I am bound by the five bonds, through the splendor of the Samādhi of Heroic Progress and the blessings of those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. Śāriputra, whether now or at the time of my complete Nirvāṇa, wherever this Samādhi of Heroic Progress is taught, shown, written, or made into a book, there, whatever Evil Ones, or gods of the demonic class, or others with intense hatred in their minds,

All of these will be known to be bound by the bonds of the five snares through the glory of the Samadhi of Heroic Progress and the blessings of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Then, all those gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans gathered there in that assembly, entreated the Bhagavat, saying: Bhagavat, we have no doubt about this Samadhi of Heroic Progress. We are not timid. We will not create obstacles. We do not seek to be bound. Bhagavat, in order to fully grasp this Samadhi, we will also protect the speaker of the Dharma. We will also generate the perception of a teacher for this Samadhi of Heroic Progress. After they entreated in this way, the Bhagavat spoke these words to the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans: O friends, therefore, may you be completely liberated from the twelve bonds of views. What are the twelve? They are: the bond of the view of self, the bond of the view of sentient beings, the bond of the view of life, the bond of the view of a person, the bond of the view of annihilation, the bond of the view of permanence, the bond of the view of grasping at self, the bond of the view of grasping at what belongs to self, the bond of the view of arising, the bond of the view of destruction, the bond of the view of the aggregates of destruction, and the bond of the view of manifest attachment to all dharmas. O friends, whoever among those who revile, abandon, or refute the Tathagata or the Dharma-Vinaya spoken by the Tathagata, all those people are bound by these twelve bonds, and thus they refute, abandon, and revile. O friends, whoever, having heard this Dharma-Vinaya spoken by the Tathagata, rejoices and believes in it, and does not abandon it, all those people will be completely liberated from these bonds of the twelve views. Then
