He shows himself dying in front of (them). He shows himself being burned, or eaten, or decayed, or dried up, or completely scattered. He takes wealth from those beings and then returns to abide. Just like the wise one, the bodhisattva who abides in the samadhi of courageous conduct also shows birth, aging, sickness, and death in order to fully ripen sentient beings, but he has neither birth, nor aging, nor sickness, nor death. Wise one, this should also be seen as the distinction made by the bodhisattva who abides in the samadhi of courageous conduct in order to fully purify samadhi. Wise one, furthermore, the bodhisattva who abides in the samadhi of courageous conduct is endowed with wisdom. Because of his sharp wisdom, he does not fixate on the nature of sentient beings, but in order to fully ripen sentient beings, he also applies the designation of sentient being, sentient being. He does not fixate on the nature of life and the individual, but he also applies the designation of life and the individual, merely applying the designation. He does not fixate on the nature of karma and its maturation, but he also shows karma and its maturation. He does not fixate on the nature of the afflictions of samsara, but he also shows complete understanding of the afflictions of samsara. He also does not abandon going to nirvana, but in order to lead sentient beings to nirvana, he also teaches the Dharma. He does not fixate on the application of Dharma, but he also shows the distinct establishment of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas. With the supreme perfection of unobstructed wisdom, he is not attached to the desire realm, but he also appears there. He is not attached to the form realm, but he also appears there. He appears to enter into the samadhi of the form realm, but he is also born in the desire realm. He appears to enter into the absorption of the formless realm, but he is also born in the form realm. He appears to act in the desire realm, and he also enters into the absorption of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, and he is also born in the desire realm. He knows meditation and the limbs of meditation, and he can also equally apply and arise, and in order to fully ripen sentient beings, he is born wherever he wishes.

And also acts. He, being completely grasped by skillful means and wisdom, even while abiding in detachment from all activities, also acts in order to fully ripen sentient beings. He does not closely engage in any dharma, nor is he detached from all activities. He is also free from clinging to self and clinging to 'I,' and also appears to give and receive. He, endowed with wisdom and primordial awareness, performs all actions done by primordial awareness, but does not act out of pride, nor does he speak of actions and their maturation. In order to fully ripen sentient beings, he also demonstrates being mute like a sheep, foolish, idiotic, and deaf, and he also possesses the ability to emit the sounds of Brahma's voice, speech, and intonation. He has gone beyond all crafts and, through the perfection of wisdom, does not think, "What should I say?" does not contemplate, "What should I speak?" nor does he seek, "How should I teach?" And wherever he goes, in whatever assembly, he spontaneously accomplishes and, through the power of the Samadhi of Valiant Progress, he is fearless in Dharma, knowing the superior and non-superior faculties of all assemblies. His primordial awareness neither diminishes nor increases, and he satisfies all assemblies with excellent teachings. Steadfast Intelligence, for example, a woman, man, boy, or girl takes a small or large vessel, whatever its size, and goes to a spring, lake, pond, trough, river, or great ocean, fills all those vessels completely, and even though they leave, the spring, lake, pond, trough, river, or great ocean does not diminish even slightly, and also satisfies those sentient beings. Steadfast Intelligence, similarly, a Bodhisattva abiding in this Samadhi of Valiant Progress, wherever he goes, whether it be to an assembly of the royal lineage, or an assembly of Brahmins, or an assembly of householders, or an assembly of renunciates, or an assembly of Indra, or even if he goes to an assembly of Brahma, he spontaneously accomplishes everything for all of them and satisfies them with excellent teachings, according to their lineage and faculties.
