If I attain, I do not apply to any dharma. If not applied, then how does form manifest perfect complete enlightenment? Or do feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness manifest perfect complete enlightenment? Who manifests perfect complete enlightenment? Do the five aggregates teach the Dharma? The five aggregates are not real, like illusions, empty and without substance, arising from non-virtuous mental activity. The realm of Dharma is not empty, not without substance, not unreal, not arising from non-virtuous mental activity, not like illusions, not like mirages, not like moon reflections in water, not like phantom cities. Then who teaches this Dharma? Why is that? Well-guarded, the realm of Dharma is pure, true, correct, non-different, suchness without error is suchness, then who teaches it? The five aggregates are impermanent, suffering, empty, selfless, dependently originated, and subject to decay. Enlightenment is without elaboration as it is, ungraspable, without sound, invisible, unobservable, without characteristics, infinite, like space, without equal, equal to the unequal, separate from mind, intellect, and consciousness, following all sounds, not abiding in objects, not abiding in directions, inconceivable, inexpressible, peaceful, separate from peace, cooled, without basis, without location, unconditioned, unborn, unceasing, abiding in non-duality, suchness non-different is suchness, unchanging is suchness, the future is suchness, the suchness without going, samsara and nirvana are equal. Well-guarded, suchness is not all afflictions, not purified, not immaculate. Suchness is not samsara, not complete nirvana. Suchness is not birth, not cessation. Suchness is not inferior, not middling, not supreme. What is called suchness is the realm of Dharma, the realm of Dharma is not the place of the self-nature of self and dharma, not the place of the self-nature of dharma.

Now, it is not the place of all dharmas, but emptiness is the place of emptiness, ultimate reality is the place of emptiness, greatness is the place of emptiness, supreme is the place of emptiness, it is the place of extreme abiding. The Dharmadhatu is unmoving, non-abiding, without a place, without self-nature, non-flowing, non-accepting, non-abandoning, non-promising, non-grasping. Whoever knows this Dharma and has no arrogance in knowing it is called the Dharmadhatu. The Dharmadhatu is the Buddha, and the Buddha is the true limit, without dust, peaceful, cooled, unborn, and unceasing. The skandhas are with elaboration, and for these, the Bodhisattva thinks separately in this way: How can the five skandhas with elaboration fully awaken to enlightenment? So he thinks separately in this way: Can form fully awaken to enlightenment? Or can feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness fully awaken to enlightenment? Form is inanimate, unmoving, without mind, like grass, walls, trees, and eyeballs, it cannot fully awaken to enlightenment. Feeling is like a water bubble, illusory, arising from the aggregation of contact, it also cannot fully awaken to enlightenment. Perception is like a mirage, arising from the aggregation of eye, form, appearance, and attention, it also cannot fully awaken to enlightenment. Volitions are without substance, false, deceptive, arising from the aggregation of ignorance, they also cannot fully awaken to enlightenment. Consciousness is like an illusion, empty, hollow, untrue, necessarily arising from the aggregation of volitions, arising from the aggregation of improper attention, it also cannot fully awaken to enlightenment, he thinks. The Bodhisattva Good Protector thinks separately in this way: If the five skandhas cannot fully awaken to enlightenment, then can name fully awaken to enlightenment? Or can Dharma fully awaken to enlightenment? Or roots of virtue? What is it like? He thinks.
