Mipam said to the two hermits, "Hermits, have you seen thieves entering or leaving this dense forest?" After saying this, the two hermits said to King Demipam, "King, if we cannot even see ourselves, how can we see thieves?" After King Demipam and the hermits had this conversation, the king's men caught the thieves. After they caught the thieves, they came to where King Demipam was and said, "We have caught these thieves." Then, King Demipam, not understanding the meaning of what the two hermits had said, said to the two hermits, "You are liars, not hermits." So he ordered their hands and feet to be cut off. However, those hermits did not harm others. Then, the hermit Meyjin, after his hands and feet were cut off, said to King Demipam, "O King, if you seek yourself everywhere, who is the king called Demipam? Is the eye King Demipam? Or is King Demipam different from the eye? Is King Demipam the ear? The nose? The tongue? The body? The mind? Or is King Demipam different from the ear, the nose, the tongue, the body, the mind, and the distinctions of consciousness?" In this way, the hermit showed the unobtainable "self" and realized it as it is. Then, King Demipam, thinking about it as it is, did not find himself. Because he did not find himself ultimately, he became very remorseful, because he did not understand the words of the innocent hermits and immediately committed a sinful act, and therefore truly understood the nature of things, felt pain and discomfort, and rolled around on the ground in regret. Then, the hermit Meyjin, realizing that King Demipam was feeling remorseful, said, "Great King, just as you cannot find yourself, the one whose hands and feet you have cut off is also unobtainable."

The sage Agnidatta, by teaching emptiness to Lopo Demipama, quickly dispelled all entanglements. He quickly realized the characteristics of the nature of all dharmas, and thus generated the perception of them as teachers. Those sages told him the story of morality: "Great King, for the sake of the complete purity of morality, generate aspiration for a mind endowed with morality. Great King, look at the power of complete purity in morality. Great King, with truth and truthful words, if I do not remember that in inexpressible kalpas, my mind has been defiled by evil thoughts, then with this truth and truthful words, may the right hands of us two be restored as before." As soon as he said this, by the blessing of truth, the right hands of the two were restored as before. "Great King, with truth and truthful words, if I do not remember that in inexpressible kalpas, the actions of my body have been defiled by evil thoughts, then with this truth and truthful words, may the left hands of us two be restored as before." As soon as he said this, by the blessing of truth, the left hands of the two were restored as before. "Great King, with truth and truthful words, if I do not remember that in inexpressible kalpas, my livelihood has been defiled by evil thoughts, then with this truth and truthful words, may the feet of us two be restored as before." In this way, by the blessing of the truth of the sage Agnidatta, the feet and hands of the two sages were restored as before. Then, King Demipama saw the miraculous transformations manifested by the true blessing of the two, and felt his hair stand on end. Then, the sage Agnidatta, hearing the true blessing, strived to completely purify the actions of body, speech, and mind. While staying there, he abided in the supreme perfection of morality. From there, he saw countless billions of Buddhas in the ten directions of the world, some were manifesting the attainment of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and some were turning the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma.

Some subdue sentient beings with various kinds of miraculous transformations. Some abandon the aggregates of life. Some, in the presence of all those Tathagatas who have completely passed into the realm of nirvana without remainder, see the sage Fire Offering performing offerings and reverence. He sees that sage Fire Offering teaching the doctrine of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, to sentient beings with various kinds of miraculous transformations, and greatly praising the unsurpassed perfection of morality. Then, King Demipham sees those Tathagatas and countless hundreds of thousands of kotis of sentient beings, who, with the power of virtue endowed with the perfection of morality, rise into the sky to the height of seven palm trees and remain in the space. He praises the sage Fire Offering and those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, with verses endowed with miraculous transformations and endowed with the perfection of morality. Just as in the circle of a stainless mirror, there are faults and virtues of the body. Similarly, in the truly virtuous morality, there are faults and virtues of the mind. Like a great tree that produces fruits as desired, it bestows all fruits as thought. Similarly, with a pure and clean aggregate of morality, it bestows all fruits as thought. Just as when one diligently works on the earth, it becomes the shape of a vessel as thought. Similarly, by completely training in the aggregate of morality, it bestows all virtues as thought. Just as when a wish-fulfilling jewel is polished, it bestows various enjoyments as thought. Similarly, when the aggregate of morality is polished, it bestows all virtues as thought. What the princes first practiced is the completely pure morality, which is the first step. The Buddhas, with that stainless step, perfectly accomplish the supreme peace of enlightenment. Just as when a young banyan tree, the king of trees, is planted and well nurtured on level ground, branches grow and visibly flourish, possessing flowers and fruits, and possessing excellence. Similarly, whoever abides in the aggregate of morality,
