So it is. Manjushri, what do you think? How many worlds are there where those dust motes are discarded, and where they are not discarded? He replied: O Blessed One, few are the places where those dust motes are discarded, and extremely numerous are the worlds where they are not discarded. The Buddha said: Manjushri, all those worlds where dust motes are discarded and where they are not discarded become a single city, like being filled with flour or other kinds of powder, filled with mustard seeds. Someone crushes those mustard seeds, and each mustard seed becomes as many particles of dust as there are mustard seeds. He carries all those dust motes on his shoulder and goes to the east, each step passing through worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, like having the speed of miraculous power of thought. Walking like that, with such speed, he passes through kalpas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, discarding one dust mote. In that way, in the same manner, he discards all those dust motes to the east, and similarly, he discards the same number of dust motes to the south, and to the west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest corners, and the directions of above and below, in each direction and corner, he discards the same number of dust motes. Manjushri, what do you think? How many worlds are there where those dust motes are discarded, and where they are not discarded? He replied: O Blessed One, few are the places where dust motes are discarded, and extremely numerous are the places where they are not discarded. The Buddha said: Manjushri, all those worlds where dust motes are not discarded and where they are discarded become a single city, like being filled with mustard seeds, just as the example given earlier, expanded to become thirty thousand great thousands of worlds. Manjushri, the extent of the realms of the universe, as many as all those heaps of ultimate dust motes placed there, is the same as the extent of the Bodhi tree of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, who has accomplished all meanings. That Bodhi tree is made of seven precious jewels.

The fruit is the wish-fulfilling jewel. The branches of that Bodhi tree are as many as the atoms of the ultimate fine dust. One branch also has as many branchlets as the atoms of the ultimate fine dust. One branchlet also has as many fruits as the atoms of the ultimate fine dust. Each fruit also has immeasurable parts. Manjushri, that Bodhi tree is accomplished by the well-practiced fruit of the Tathagata Sarvarthasiddha, and it will not appear in the sight of beings whose eyes have not been fully tamed. Manjushri, just as the palaces of the yakshas in space do not appear in the sight of people, so too the Bodhi tree will not appear in the sight of beings whose eyes have not been fully tamed. Manjushri, beings can pass through that Bodhi tree without obstruction, Manjushri, just as the palaces of the yakshas in space can be passed through without obstruction, so too Manjushri, beings can pass through that Bodhi tree without obstruction, because that Bodhi tree is also completely accomplished by the ripening of the karma of beings who possess completely pure karma. Manjushri, also, the world of that Tathagata Sarvarthasiddha, in the eastern direction, is also as many as the atoms of the ultimate fine dust, completely pure. There are also that many in the south, that many in the west, that many in the north, that many in the southeast, that many in the southwest, that many in the northwest, that many in the northeast, and that many in the upper and lower directions of the world are completely pure, and the Buddha field is so vast and completely pure. Relying on unobstructed liberation, then that many times a hundred, one's own Buddha field is completely pure. Manjushri, the fruits of that Bodhi tree arise, grow, increase, and burst open, continuously and without interruption. Manjushri, just as about five hundred children are playing, some standing, some sitting, continuously and without interruption, so too Manjushri.

The fruits of that Bodhi tree arise, grow, ripen, and burst open continuously, without interruption. Manjushri, just as when a heavy rain falls, some bubbles appear on the water, and some disappear continuously, without interruption, in the same way, those fruits arise, grow, flourish, and burst open continuously, without interruption. From just one part of the bursting fruit, Bodhisattvas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River arise, endowed with the thirty-two marks, their bodies adorned with the eighty minor marks, their bodies as firm as those of the sons of desireless ones, beings who have become the last of existences, in inexpressible world realms, endowed with the aspiration to purify immeasurable Buddha-fields. All of them also extensively train in purifying the Buddha-fields to that extent. Having arisen from there, they bow their heads at the feet of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha, Sarvarthasiddha, and sit down on one side. To those Bodhisattvas sitting on one side, the Tathagata Sarvarthasiddha explains his own pure Buddha-field and also teaches the equality of the three times. They also listen to and uphold the pure Buddha-field, and immediately after hearing it, they obtain the five superknowledges. Immediately after obtaining the superknowledges, they bow their heads at the feet of the Tathagata Sarvarthasiddha, circumambulate the Tathagata three times, and then depart. Through the power of their miraculous abilities, they go to their respective Buddha-fields and attain the Unsurpassed, Perfect and Complete Enlightenment. Manjushri, when the Tathagata Sarvarthasiddha formerly practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva, he meditated on the three samadhis of a Bodhisattva, and thoroughly familiarized himself with them, made them his path, made them his support, made them like his bones, thoroughly understood them, and skillfully practiced them. What are the three samadhis? They are called the Bodhisattva's Powerful Samadhi and the Bodhisattva's Peaceful Abiding Samadhi.
