大勇识慧上师向薄伽梵如来智慧生处请教，为了使众生完全成熟而游历诸方。他游历诸方后，完全清净了不可言说的佛刹，并且在每个佛刹中，使无数亿众生完全成熟于必定思维无上之法的言说，然后他发了如下的誓愿：愿我生于何佛刹，彼处众生皆知佛已降临。愿我生于何佛刹，彼处众生地狱、畜生之生处、阎罗世界、非天之列以及一切无暇之处皆断绝。他所发的誓愿完全圆满后，文殊菩萨识慧上师行持菩萨行，并且在任何佛刹降生，彼处众生皆知佛已降临，众生地狱、畜生之生处、阎罗世界、非天之列以及一切无暇之处皆完全断绝。断绝后，也不再于该佛刹中出现。他又发了如下的誓愿：凡我行持菩萨行时，足底触及之处，愿彼等直至劫末皆化为佛塔。任何众生，无论见到、听到或到达该佛塔之处，愿彼等皆于无上正等觉不退转。愿佛塔之所在，直至其存在之时，该佛刹之正法永不衰败。愿佛塔之所在，直至其存在之时，该佛刹之众生听闻正法之流永不断绝。凡听闻我名之众生，愿彼等皆于无上正等觉不退转。说完后，他的誓愿便完全圆满，他便开始行持。

The great courageous and wise Superior Teacher asked the Bhagavan Tathagata, the Source of Wisdom, and traveled to various places in order to fully ripen sentient beings. After traveling to various places, he completely purified countless Buddha-fields, and in each Buddha-field, he fully ripened countless billions of sentient beings in the expression of definitely thinking about the unsurpassed Dharma. Then he made the following aspiration: "May sentient beings know that a Buddha has appeared wherever I am born in a Buddha-field. May all the hells, the birthplaces of animals, the realm of Yama, the ranks of Asuras, and all unfavorable conditions be cut off wherever I am born in a Buddha-field." After his aspiration was completely fulfilled, Manjushri Bodhisattva, the Superior Teacher of Wisdom, practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and wherever he was born in a Buddha-field, sentient beings knew that a Buddha had appeared, and all the hells, the birthplaces of animals, the realm of Yama, the ranks of Asuras, and all unfavorable conditions were completely cut off. After being cut off, they did not reappear in that Buddha-field. He also made the following aspiration: "Wherever the soles of my feet touch the earth while I am practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, may those places become stupas until the end of the kalpa. Any sentient being who sees, hears, or goes to that stupa, may they all become irreversible from the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. As long as the place of the stupa remains, may the sacred Dharma in that Buddha-field never decline. As long as the place of the stupa remains, may the stream of sentient beings in that Buddha-field constantly listening to the sacred Dharma never cease. May all sentient beings who hear my name become irreversible from the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment." After saying this, his aspiration was completely fulfilled, and he began to practice.

彼以如是佛土悉皆摄持并清净之。彼亦摄持百十四俱胝佛之所有祈愿。彼亦摄持百十四俱胝佛之所有寿命量。彼亦摄持百十四俱胝佛之所有声闻集会。彼亦摄持百十四俱胝佛之所有菩萨众。彼亦摄持百十四俱胝佛之所有佛土之圆满。彼清净无量无数俱胝佛土已，往诣世尊如来智慧生处，至已，以头顶礼如来智慧生之足，于一面而坐。于一面坐已，菩萨慧胜向如来智慧生作如是请白：世尊之子等，从父所生者，彼等乃是昆仲。世尊，为我之诸弟等，如来务必为彼等宣说如是之法，令诸菩萨能利益众多生灵。如是请白已。

He thus completely grasped and purified such Buddha-fields. He also grasped all the prayers of one hundred and fourteen kotis of Buddhas. He also completely grasped all the life spans of one hundred and fourteen kotis of Buddhas. He also completely grasped the assemblies of all the Shravakas of one hundred and fourteen kotis of Buddhas. He also completely gathered the assemblies of all the Bodhisattvas of one hundred and fourteen kotis of Buddhas. He also completely grasped all the perfections of the Buddha-fields of those one hundred and fourteen kotis of Buddhas. Having purified countless and inexpressible kotis of Buddha-fields, he went to where the Bhagavan Tathagata Jnana-utpatti was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Tathagata Jnana-utpatti and sat on one side. Having sat on one side, the Bodhisattva Prajna-uttama requested the Tathagata Jnana-utpatti as follows: "The sons of the Bhagavan, those born from the father, are brothers. Bhagavan, please, Tathagata, for my brothers, teach such a Dharma that allows Bodhisattvas to benefit many beings." Having made this request,

不能计算啊！文殊，那时菩萨大士慧上师以声闻的寂灭而令无量众生完全寂灭。其二倍的菩萨大士们，善巧安置于无上正等觉。那些菩萨们全部现证无上正等觉成佛后，令无量众生完全寂灭，而完全寂灭。如是菩萨大士慧上师令众生完全寂灭。善巧安置极多众生于菩提。文殊，你作何想？彼时彼刻名为慧上师的菩萨是另一个人吗？文殊，你不应如是观。为何呢？如来一切义成，即彼时彼刻名为慧上师的菩萨。文殊，如是如来 一切义成，往昔行菩萨行时，安住于无障碍的佛之解脱，故具足方便善巧。是故文殊，菩萨大士们应具足方便善巧。为圆满方便善巧故，当为菩萨宣说于一切法得自在之等持。安住于于一切法得自在之等持的菩萨大士，仅以一生起心，亦能于不可说佛刹中，承侍诸佛薄伽梵。彼等一切行持，文殊，譬如充满水之海，无有竭尽，流水则流向任何倾斜之地。如是安住于于一切法得自在之等持的菩萨大士，亦从何处观视，即以佛法润泽何处，如是彼菩萨即缘于一切佛法。

It is impossible to calculate! Manjushri, at that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Wisdom Superior completely led countless beings to nirvana through the nirvana of the Shravakas. Twice as many Bodhisattva Mahasattvas skillfully established themselves in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. All those Bodhisattvas, having fully awakened to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and become Buddhas, completely led countless beings to nirvana, and completely passed into nirvana. In this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Wisdom Superior completely led beings to nirvana. He skillfully established a great many beings in Bodhi. Manjushri, what do you think? At that time, do you think that the Bodhisattva named Wisdom Superior was someone else? Manjushri, you should not view it that way. Why is that? The Tathagata All-Meaning-Accomplished, at that time, was the Bodhisattva named Wisdom Superior. Manjushri, in this way, the Tathagata All-Meaning-Accomplished, in the past, while practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, was endowed with skillful means because he dwelt in the unobstructed liberation of the Buddha. Therefore, Manjushri, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should be endowed with skillful means. In order to perfect skillful means, the Samadhi of Mastery over All Dharmas should be taught to the Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva Mahasattva who abides in the Samadhi of Mastery over All Dharmas, even with a single arising of mind, can attend to and honor the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, in unspeakable Buddha-fields. All their practices, Manjushri, are like this: for example, a sea full of water never runs dry, and the flowing water flows to whatever place is inclined. Similarly, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who abides in the Samadhi of Mastery over All Dharmas, wherever he looks, is moistened by the Dharmas of the Buddha. Thus, that Bodhisattva focuses on all the Dharmas of the Buddha.
