Therefore, due to craving for Aranya, they crave hatred. Their minds are constantly filled with defilements and deeply indulge in craving, and the venomous mind of hatred is ignited. Those who are narrow-minded and foolish know nothing. Because they use small causes and conditions, they stir up great matters. Their minds are covered by hatred, leading to one fault after another, which is the breaking of vows, the breaking of views, the breaking of life, and the breaking of rituals. Shariputra, in such a Sangha, if there is a lazy Bhikshu who has no merit in his mind and stays in the middle, then he is also among those evil people, blaming each other and fighting endlessly. Even when meditating and reciting scriptures, they do not hear the truth and stay at home, and all those who have left home are disturbed. Like this, Shariputra, if a Bhikshu has been a Bhikshu for one year, two years, three years, or even nine years, those who live above are also arrogant and disrespectful. If this person has received vows, then the Shramanera disciples also do not act according to the Dharma, and they do not respect the Khenpo and Acharya. Shariputra, at that time, young Bhikshus and those who had no support before leaving home despised each other. For Bhikshus who have taken vows for ten years, those Bhikshus who have been deprived of their bowls are not respected by all the other disciples. The Dharma of rituals is also not practiced according to the Dharma. Shariputra, at that time, evil people despise each other due to lust, hatred, and the purity of rituals. They have no respect and deceive each other, so my Dharma is declining. Shariputra, at that time, foolish people commit sins of destroying the Dharma, committing many sins, and eventually fall into evil paths. Shariputra, I tell you these distinctions. If one has already sought one's own merit, then a virtuous Bhikshu should not even stay overnight in the crowd at that time, except for the case where an Arhat has attained Nirvana, and there is meaning for an evil Bhikshu there. Why? Shariputra, at that time, people's lust, hatred, and ignorance are very strong. Living beings are driven to despair by fear and poverty, so they do not seek virtue, but live separately in the mountains and empty, secluded gardens, exhausting their lives.

Die like a wild beast. Shariputra, I will explain it to you separately. My true Dharma will not remain in the world for long. Why? Because the good fortune of sentient beings, the root of virtue, has been exhausted, and the degenerate age is near. If I have sought merit, then monks and nuns should generate such a sad mind. When will I see such a chaotic Dharma? If I see such practitioners encountering obstacles in evil times, I will generate a mind of diligence and quickly attain the fruit of the path. Shariputra, my Dharma has no other important meaning, do not think about clothes, food, bedding, and medicine. You and others, in any case, should practice with the goal of attaining Buddhahood, and do not overvalue worldly wealth, benefits, and fame. Shariputra, now listen carefully, and I will explain it to you. If some monks practice the path with one mind, then all the gods of the three thousand worlds will unite in mind and offer all kinds of pleasant things together. Shariputra, others offering to monks in meditation is not as great as the merit of the gods offering. Therefore, Shariputra, you should practice diligently as you have been truly taught, not grieving for not receiving offerings, and not generating human faults and sadness for practicing the supreme emptiness teachings. Why? Shariputra, the greatest obstacle is cowardice, because emptiness has been attained. Some monks renounce their homes because they practice my Dharma, take vows, and diligently practice this Dharma, then gods and non-gods, as well as people, although they may not think of it, they can practice the path diligently with one mind. In the end, they will not think about the need for clothes and food. Why? Because the treasury of the Tathagata's merits is immeasurable and difficult to exhaust. Shariputra, after the Tathagata's Nirvana, in the white hair mark, use one hundred thousand billionth of the merit to offer to the relics and disciples. Shariputra, even if all the people in the world renounce their homes and practice according to the Dharma, the white hair mark's

Even one part of a hundred thousand million is inexhaustible. Shariputra, the Tathagata has such immeasurable merits. If the monks obtain the food and items they need, then all aspects of all rituals can be fulfilled. Shariputra, those monks should think like this: This is a lineage that uses the necessary items and the lives of donors to practice evil Dharma. Shariputra, a monk wearing patched robes, if he collects old and inferior items from garbage and brooms, should think like this: Use this to cover up faults, and if you practice the noble path, I will use this old and inferior item, sew it into a Dharma robe, and use it diligently. Ordinary vulgar people are not suitable to wear it even for one night. If a monk washes it clean and wears it for a long time, and if a mind of attachment arises to the patched robe worn by the monk, it should be discarded like vomit. I am not allowed to wear it, let alone other clothes? Why? Shariputra, because that monk has generated non-monk Dharma for that garment, and if that monk also considers himself to be of a worldly lineage, let alone other items? Shariputra, at that time it would be easier for that monk to bind his body with a red-hot iron chain, thinking that it is inappropriate to wear this patched robe. Why? Because of the attachment and clinging to this garment. Shariputra, a monk wearing patched robes should think like this: Wearing this patched robe, covering up cold and heat, and using it to practice the right path, if I no longer wear other clothes, I will obtain the fruit of entering the stream, the fruit of once returning, the fruit of not returning, and the fruit of Arhatship. Shariputra, I also allow such a monk wearing patched robes who seeks the right path alone to wear it. Shariputra, a begging monk does not distinguish between all Dharmas. Always gather your thoughts, do not regret or disturb. When entering a village, use the meditation that has been accomplished, beg for food for yourself, and after obtaining it, do not be greedy or show off, take the food you have obtained and come out of the village to a clean
