If, after conversing, one teaches the Dharma to him, if one does not speak of purity and preciousness, that person leaves home in order to seek the teaching of the Dharma. Because he has taken vows, I know that person will later attain the path, so I allow him to leave home and abide for four months. Why is that? In order to make offerings to the Dharma. One is to prevent enemies from rising again in the future. In this way, the Tathagata is good at protecting the Dharma, and the wise will not find an opportunity, because the Buddha taught to repent and to see the evil deeds of the past. Many monks rejoice and are allowed to leave home. After receiving the vows, they cannot be moved or changed by gods, humans, and the world. Shariputra, if one says who is suitable to be tamed, that is the name of attachment to dwelling, attachment to the Dharma of dwelling. Shariputra, some people are attached to the Dharma of dwelling, that is, they are attached to the real, attached to the self, attached to the person, attached to the sentient being, attached to evil deeds, and give rise to doubts about the Dharma of their own emptiness. They practice many illusory dharmas with the idea that evil deeds are illusory and untrue, and dare not enter the supreme principle of emptiness, but practice the path of evil deeds. That person's name is called attachment to the Dharma of dwelling. Shariputra, a person who is not suitable to be tamed is one who practices many colors, whether he is a person wearing gray clothes or a person wearing Dharma clothes. Such a person has obtained something untrue. All who see the real are called attachment to dwelling. A person who leaves home and takes vows from my Dharma is one who can be tamed. Why is that? Because attachment to the real is to look at evil deeds in my Dharma, so his name is called a great enemy. He is the enemy of gods and humans in all the world. His name is the enemy of all the world, is hatred, is the great enemy of all Buddhas. Shariputra, I do not allow such a person who looks at evil deeds to leave home and take vows. Shariputra, there is no self in all dharmas. If someone can endure that

Birth and, all dharmas are empty and there is no view of self. There is no view of person. There are no sentient beings. If one cannot do without life and cannot believe and understand, and takes offerings in the Dharma, he is called impure. That person does not offer to the Buddha, does not offer to the Dharma. He does not offer to the Sangha, but insists on entering my Dharma, the body is a Shramana, but the mind is ignorant, he is a Dharma-stealing person. Shariputra, in the future, there will be a Shramana who does not tame the body. Does not practice morality. Does not tame the mind. Does not practice wisdom, and also despises and scorns everything spoken by the Tathagata and everything practiced by the Tathagata. The Tathagata always respectfully offers to the emptiness of the supreme teachings, and always craves practice. Those monks also despise the practice of the Dharma of ultimate emptiness, the realm of reality attained by the Tathagata. Shariputra, at that time, if some monks practiced the karma of afflictions, they would also be despised by everyone. Now if my disciples practice emptiness,

Shariputra, at that time there were many transgressions. There was constant strife, clinging to the view of self, clinging to persons, clinging to sentient beings, clinging to life, clinging to existence. Because they performed little virtuous Dharma, they craved only the benefits of offerings. If they were ignorant of the truth, they would claim to be wise. They would constantly quarrel and contend with each other, desiring to cut off meaningful things. Having generated hatred and jealousy, that person would abandon the mind of practice and seek only the benefits of offerings. They craved many things for their livelihood, not just mixing together. They always craved to find fault with others, hiding their own faults and proclaiming and speaking of good things. The monks of the present time hide good things and expose their own evil deeds. At that time, everyone was unable to protect and uphold the heavy precepts because they did not understand their meaning. They destroyed the merit of the scriptures, and all the Dharma did not change, complaining that they did not know what to do with the empty name. Those who play games change their clothes, proclaim many teachings, and laugh heartily when they see someone who does not understand anything. Why? Because they do not understand the Dharma of play, they fight and are amazed, generating a rare mind, feeling panicked and doubtful, so they laugh loudly. Shariputra, at that time, if a true and authentic monk preached the Dharma of emptiness and peace, all those who sought the benefits of offerings would be ashamed and laugh. Why? Because that person does not understand the Buddhist scriptures, and upon hearing the preaching of the Dharma of emptiness, they feel panicked, doubtful, and fearful. Shariputra, look at this person, sorrow of decline arises in a place of happiness. In a place of decline and sorrow, a mind of happiness arises. That person acts perversely, reversing the virtuous Dharma, and not reversing the evil Dharma. Shariputra, such an ignorant person increases stinginess, greed, hatred, and delusion. After the rituals are complete, they practice the three roots of non-virtue. Shariputra, I have explained the 250 precepts of the Dharma for the benefit of the monks who uphold the precepts. Such an ignorant person...
