Therefore, know this. If someone sharpens their own sharp sword and cuts off their tongue, it is inappropriate to preach the Dharma in impurity. Chapter Seven, which is the chapter on the past. The Buddha said to Shariputra: In the long, immeasurable, endless, inconceivable, countless eons of the past, there was a Buddha named Good Splendor Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Well-Gone, World-Knower, Unsurpassed, Tamer of Beings, Teacher of Gods and Humans, Buddha, World-Honored One. That Buddha lived in the world for eight hundred and sixty trillion years. There were eight hundred and sixty trillion great disciples. After that Buddha passed away, the relics were scattered everywhere, just as it will be after my passing, there is no difference. The true Dharma also remained in the world for five hundred years, just as it will be after my passing, there is no difference. After the Buddha passed away, among those many disciples, one day one hundred monks entered into Nirvana. Two hundred, three hundred, four hundred, five hundred monks entered into Nirvana. One day, successively, ten trillion monks entered into Nirvana. In this way, one after another, that Buddha had many wisdoms and many levels of miraculous powers, and all entered into Nirvana within three months. Shariputra, when the Good Splendor Great Adornment Buddha widely proclaimed the true Dharma, many gods and humans made offerings. Shariputra, after the Good Splendor Great Adornment Buddha and his great disciples had all passed away, if someone slightly knew some Dharma of practice, and happily went forth from home and studied the path, there were also many. They could not understand the extremely profound and incomparable Dharma of emptiness spoken by the Buddha, because many were deluded by evil demons. At that time, those who preached the Dharma could not be of one mind, so their preaching was also impure and not pure, but they spoke of self-view, person-view, and the existence of life, and did not preach that all dharmas are empty and peaceful.

Do. One hundred years after that Buddha passed away, the disciples were divided into five groups. One was named Khyabdon, the second was named Suffering Spread, the third was named Saving All, the fourth was named Tsangki, and the fifth was named Bardanta. Shariputra, the monk Khyabdon, the monk Suffering Spread, the monk Tsa Dawa Ta, the monk Tsangki, the monk Bardanta, these five monks served as teachers for many people. The so-called Khyabdon knew all the teachings about emptiness that the Buddha taught, that is, there is no real truth. The other four monks all fell into the wrong path. They preached the view that there is a self, and preached the view that there is a person. Shariputra, the monk Khyabdon was despised by the four groups, because he had no power and influence, and was slandered by many people. The four evil monks taught many people to fall into the wrong path, they did not respect the Buddha's teachings, and argued with each other, so the Buddha's teachings became numerous. Shariputra, if someone thinks that all the teachings about emptiness that the monk Khyabdon said are easy to understand and worthy of belief, then if I do not object, I think that such a person has offered to five thousand Buddhas in the previous life. Sixty-eight billion people have already entered Nirvana. Why? Shariputra, because that person planted the roots of virtue for the Buddhas in the past. He practiced the Dharma of emptiness without anything to be obtained, which is the cause of entering Nirvana. Shariputra, the monk All Exists, the monk Tsangki, the monk Bardanta, they all cling to existence, and preach that there is a self, there is a person, there are sentient beings, and there is life. Because many friends promoted the doctrine, these four evil people made many lay and ordained people cling to wrong views. They abandoned the supreme doctrine, that is, the Dharma of emptiness that has no reality and is ultimately empty, and turned to believe in and cling to the teachings of Mur Adruk Ezin. Shariputra, these four evil people make the Dharma of the disciples, both lay and ordained, always outward until it is exhausted.
