Greedy for the benefit of other monks, they adopt their theories at will, and feel happy and joyful if there is strife. They adorn their bodies with clothes and food, learn the rituals of others, seek good bedding, nourish themselves, make their bodies comfortable, and crave the praise of others. They are stingy with benefactors and reluctant to leave their dwelling places, fearing that if the monk Khenpo comes, he will see their faults. They hate those who uphold the precepts and associate with those who break them. They always praise generosity, but do not praise those who uphold the precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom, nor do they praise emptiness and peace. They abandon solitary dwelling and always like to accuse those who uphold the precepts, and do not praise those who possess cultivated virtues. They often comment for their own benefit, often create discord with bad words, and often tell false stories of mindfulness. Relying on good birth, they are proud and constantly inquire about paternal relatives. Using small causes and conditions, if they preach the Dharma to the poor, they are always dishonest, fearful and suspicious, hating the masses, and benefiting from long-term contempt and slander due to sorrow. They are always greedy to comment on those who uphold the precepts. They do not want to be close to those who explain the ultimate truth, and they do not like to hear such Dharma texts in their hearts. They are happy to memorize, recite, and hear the explanation of such Dharma texts, but they do not like to see other such people. In particular, they do not like to hear the sound of praising the Dharma of upholding the precepts. If such Dharma texts are explained, whether they can understand after listening, even if they understand after listening, they will soon leave and make friends with those who wear secular clothes, and they often like to gossip about the monks who uphold the precepts, and they are despised because of their own degradation, and they use harsh words to hurt people. Shariputra, this is called the ten arrows of sorrow and confusion of a precept-breaking monk, and it will surely fall into evil paths. Shariputra, after my Nirvana, such people will fill the entire Jambudvipa (Southern Continent), seeking profit.

Merely using and maintaining one's own livelihood. The Dharma text spoken of in "The Treasury of the Buddha," Volume Three, the Dharma text of "The Treasury of the Buddha." The Buddha spoke of the Dharma text of "The Treasury of the Buddha," which has six chapters, namely, the chapter of pure Dharma. The Buddha said to Shariputra: The Buddha of the past, Fortune Protector, had previously prophesied to me that if the Buddha Shakyamuni received too many offerings, the Dharma would quickly disappear. Shariputra, because there are many true offerings in my Dharma, it will later disappear quickly. Shariputra, it is like a poor person finding a treasure of precious jewels, and being very happy in his heart. Just like this, Shariputra, in the future, there will be many monks who wear gray clothes, are close to and accept offerings. They gradually teach each other, become friends, are happy in their hearts, and cling to the joy of faith. It is like a poor person finding a treasure of precious jewels. Such foolish people think that worldly benefits are great, and are greedy for the cycle of worldly servants. Seeing a monk enjoying many offerings, they casually say in their hearts that they have attained the Arhat fruit. Seeing a few good teachers, they say that they have a bad reputation like a corpse. Such monks, for the sake of the benefits of life, abandon the supreme Buddha path, and achieve whatever they desire. Shariputra, the Tathagata, for the sake of such foolishness, therefore speaks of such Dharma texts. Why? Because when a monk who has broken his vows hears the preaching of such a Dharma text, he will feel regret in his heart, remember the vows he abandoned again, not do great evil, and not accept offerings from others. Shariputra, some monks, after hearing such a Dharma text, do not have a pure heart and do not accept it, are not happy or joyful, and such people are called evil monks. Why? Shariputra, for a monk with pure vows, there is neither Dharma nor joy. Whether it is speaking of generosity, or speaking of discipline, or speaking of patience, or speaking of diligence, or speaking of meditation, or speaking of wisdom.
