Therefore, if he knows it is bad, he is not even allowed to spit on the ground. Therefore, Shariputra, all the actions of a bad monk are done by an enemy, a constant enemy named enemy, a great enemy named enemy. Erecting the banner of the enemy is said to be defiling and harmful to all the people of the world. Why? Because there is no evil he does not commit. Therefore, Shariputra, that bad monk is the great enemy of all the gods and humans in the world. Shariputra, if he is the great enemy of all humans and gods and the world, can such a person drink a drop of alms water? No, Blessed One. Shariputra, what do you think? Is such a person not a great evildoer? Yes, Blessed One. Shariputra, a monk who has broken his vows has great evil for all the gods and humans in the world. Therefore, I have spoken this verse: Even eating red-hot stones, or drinking molten copper juice is acceptable, but for me, who has no discipline, it is not permissible to eat the food of believers. Shariputra, that monk who has broken his vows has no color, no goodness, and no pure aspirations. Because of the wickedness of body and mind, he likes to see bad dreams, and if he lives in a place that is impossible to go, his body will be frightened and tremble. If he sees pure discipline, he will hide and run away. Because of his own sins, his heart trembles, and he does not like to meet people. When receiving alms, he feels anxiety, doubt, fear, and dread. His heart is always running away, and the thoughts in his consciousness are very numerous. He greedily craves the benefits of wealth and loves delicious food. Such a monk, after the end of his life, will truly fall into hell. Shariputra, his name is called the seven arrows of sorrow and confusion of a monk who has broken his vows, and he will truly fall into hell. Furthermore, Shariputra, a monk who has broken his vows lives among the crowd and craves contentious words. Because he is naturally fond of jealousy, he befriends those who have broken their vows. He is always greedy to tell and talk about the bad things of breaking vows, thinking himself happy and shameless.

Turning away from profound scriptures due to lack of understanding. If there is doubt in the mind and no comprehension, upon hearing explanations of scriptures such as these, one will wrongly believe. Listening to disputes, not desiring offerings. Facing east and west, views are inconsistent. Covering the mouth with hands, looking up at the sky, rising from the seat, slandering the Dharma taught by the Buddha, harboring resentment. Obstructing the teaching of the Dharma in this way, and engaging in other foolish and wicked actions, after exhausting one's life, one will fall into the extremely deep hell of sentient beings. Shariputra, such a person is called a monk who has broken vows, the eighth arrow of sorrow and confusion. Indeed, one will fall into the hell of sentient beings. Again, Shariputra, a monk who has broken vows delights in being respected and praised by Khenpos, Lamas, and Acharyas. He praises the teachings for his own benefit. Seeking profit from fame, he calls himself a keeper of vows, and sustains himself by this. He is attached to wealth, skilled in fabrication like a creeper, shameless, like a crow. Seeking many clothes through the means of the Sangha. Secretly eating food himself, his body becomes strong. He knows neither shame nor gratitude, and his speech is coarse. There is no order either. His hands and feet are thick and rough, and the color of his complexion has faded. He craves to look at women, and does not befriend men. Such a wicked person is despised and scorned by all. Gods, Nagas, and Asuras do not praise him either. The Buddhas do not speak of him favorably either. Examining the state of his mind, he always craves anger. When the Sangha handles affairs, he boasts of his strength. Shariputra, such a monk who has broken vows seeks out those who have the power of offerings within the Sangha. He answers without being asked, and always seeks the faults of others. When he sees those who are pure in their vows, he is arrogant and says they are deceivers. When he sees those who diligently seek the path, he rejoices in and believes in other teachings that are different from his own. When he sees disputes, he boasts with joy. Shariputra, such a person is called the ninth arrow of sorrow and confusion of a monk who has broken vows, and indeed, he will fall into the hell of sentient beings. Again, Shariputra, a broken vow
