Know this! That is an enemy of the Dharma, having entered into my Dharma. Such a person clearly has not practiced my Dharma. Such a person is clearly a great enemy, like a great enemy existing in a castle and a great city. How so? If such a foolish person believes they have attained Nirvana, then what need is there to mention clinging to self-view, person-view, and the belief of attainment? Shariputra, such a foolish person is blocked by my hand, is not my disciple, is not counted among the Sangha, and I am not his Khenpo (abbot). Shariputra, for some, all dharmas neither arise nor cease, there is no mind, no conceptualization, but rather non-conceptual wisdom. If one obtains such forbearance of Dharma, one will not attain Nirvana, so what need is there to mention clinging to self-view and person-view? Shariputra, such a name spoken by the Buddha is called 'seeing the Dharma,' and because one is able to see that meaning, the name is called 'seeing the Buddha.' Shariputra, what kind of name is called Buddha? If there is a person who is unshaken by all dharmas and is distinct from all dharmas, then his name is called Tathagata. If someone has no doubt or regret about such Dharma, then his name is called the Illusionary Sangha. Shariputra, in a past life, there was a foolish person who did not recognize monkeys. He entered a large garden and saw a group of monkeys gathered in one place. That person had heard of the Thirty-Three Gods, so he rashly guessed that these were the Thirty-Three Gods. Then he came out of the garden and again said in many former villages: 'Have you seen the Thirty-Three Gods?' Many people replied that they had not seen them. That person said: 'I have already seen them, do you want to see them?' Everyone said they wanted to see them. So that person led many people into that garden, pointed to the monkeys, and said: 'Look, these are the Thirty-Three Gods.' All the people said that these were not the Thirty-Three Gods.

This is a monkey, it craves to live in the garden. You foolish and deluded people, you don't recognize the monkey, and you don't even recognize the gods of the Thirty-Three (त्रयस्त्रिंशत्,trayastriṃśat, Thirty-Three). Shariputra, that person went into that garden empty-handed. Like this, Shariputra, in the future, there will be a monk who goes to the house of a person wearing layman's clothes and says these words: Do you want to see the Buddha and the miraculous Sangha, and hear the Buddha's teachings? If they say they don't want to, then, in the house of that person wearing layman's clothes, all those who have faith in the Buddha's teachings will say that they want to see, and want to hear and receive the Buddha's teachings. Shariputra, in that, the person wearing layman's clothes is attached to and craves the words of speech. If they go to stupas and temples, there are some monks who are good at speaking and proficient in writing, they crave the rhetoric of speech and the patterns of writing, and that monk also explains in the same way, and thinks that it is the correct path, and joins the Sangha. People are like shepherds, they only crave to read the words of the scriptures, and cannot enter the true state, they only like people's praise, and regard a good reputation as very precious. Explaining the Dharma of craftsmanship for worldly benefits is impure. Being proficient in the words of craftsmanship is only used to manage worldly paths, and there is no noble dignity. Destroying the cause of Nirvana (निर्वाण,nirvāṇa, Quiescence), instead abandoning the true cause, not believing in silently practicing meditation, constantly speaking and talking day and night, arguing and debating, being arrogant and conceited, craving thick cushions, even if there is not a moment of thought like practicing meditation, let alone obtaining the fruit of becoming a Shramana (श्रमण,śramaṇa, Diligent Cessation). Even when that person is asleep, they are always in harmony with the thoughts of ordinary people, not practicing the patience that does not violate morning and evening, craving base Dharma, such a person can also receive a lot of offerings of clothes and food. Why? Because that person has deceived the surrounding evil demons, craving shallow and not profound words, and cannot learn to master the supreme holy Dharma. The supreme and profound Dharma must be grasped in the recitation of words.
