Furthermore, because all letters are definite, it is the meaning of inexhaustibility. What is the meaning of the fourteen sounds of letters being indestructible? It is the meaning of non-leakage. The letter refers to the meaning of the Tathagata. The Tathagata is the indestructible Vajra body. There is no saying that the Tathagata leaks from the nine gates, and even the nine gates themselves do not exist. Therefore, the meaning of non-leakage is the Tathagata, and because it is definite, it is called a letter, which is the meaning of non-action. A refers to the meaning of auspiciousness, which is the collective term for the three bases. Also, A refers to the supreme word of wisdom of the noble ones. Who are the noble ones? Those who are rich in the world, without greed, and satisfied with all suitable things, and those who can definitely liberate all sentient beings from the sea of samsaric suffering, these are called noble ones. Ā refers to teaching the Dharma, through rituals, conduct, discipline, and conformity with the world, the meanings are not different. Also, what meaning does Ā expand? Relying on the noble ones, all sentient beings can know that rituals, conduct, parents, teachers, and discipline are precious, and know that this is the nature of Dharma. Who are the noble ones? Those who are sons or daughters of good families who have entered the Mahayana, as well as monks who uphold the precepts, and Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, these are called noble ones. Also, Ā refers to teaching the law, the law means, "Hey, you come here! You have done something unlawful, do not do it like that again!" Like this, when unlawful things happen, it is the meaning of remembering the law. I refers to the meaning of "this," this teaching is as pure and immaculate as the full moon, this teaching is of the Bhagavan. Do this! This is meaningful! This is meaningless! This is spoken by the demon! This is spoken by the Buddha! Thus practice.

It is the meaning of what should be practiced. Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱི་) is called freedom, my teaching is freedom, great freedom, Brahma, and extremely rare. Freedom is the protector of the Dharma, and because of protecting the Dharma, it is the king. Therefore, it is called the protector of the world. This great Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra was requested by the free gods for the benefit of other sentient beings. It is upheld by the free gods. It is spoken by the free gods. The free gods make the supreme Dharma extremely prosperous. For the sake of the free gods, I have spoken, what have I said? I have spoken the Great Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra. Therefore, this is the extreme prosperity of those who have freedom, and those who are jealous of this should be punished like clearing weeds from the field. Because it does not make it grow and other meanings, therefore I have declared Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱི་). U (Tibetan: ཨུ་) is called the latter part, this sutra shows the latter part of the meaning of all sutras. I have declared a letter or a bindu that has not been heard before by all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. This great sutra is supreme, just as the sentient beings in the north whose voices are unpleasant have merit, those who hear this great sutra are transcendental, and it should be known that they are Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Therefore, it is called vast, which is the meaning of the latter part. Therefore, U (Tibetan: ཨུ་) is what I have declared in this way. Au (Tibetan: ཨཱུ་) is like the meaning of a cow's udder, just as milk is sweet, the taste of this sutra is the same. In this sutra, whoever abandons the teaching of the Tathāgatagarbha is like a cow. For example, those who do not know gratitude and think that they are killing themselves are extremely pitiful, similarly, sentient beings who abandon the Tathāgatagarbha and teach non-self should be known to be extremely pitiful. Therefore, it is called Au (Tibetan: ཨཱུ་). E (Tibetan: ཨེ་) is called the Tathāgata's Parinirvana, this is

It is the Dharma-nature of all Buddhas, therefore it is called E. Ai means Tathagata, Ai means coming and going, because as it goes, so it comes, therefore it is called Ai. O means afflictions, because it becomes medicine, from man it becomes Tathagata. Therefore it is called O. Au means Mahayana, because the end of all fourteen sounds is Au, so Mahayana is the last of all tantras, therefore it is called Au. Am means to avert all that is not suitable for my teachings, and to abandon gold and silver. Therefore, for the meaning of aversion, it is called Am. Ah means the supreme vehicle, therefore it is called Ah. Thus, the ultimate of all sutras and all tantras spoken by the Buddha is the Mahayana. Ka means to look at all sentient beings with compassion like Rahula, thinking that I should do the benefit of all sentient beings, one should think like that, therefore it is called Ka. Kha means the secret of the Tathagata, because the immature cannot know it, therefore it is called Kha. Ga means the essence, because all sentient beings have the Tathagatagarbha, therefore it is called Ga. Gha means that the Tathagata is eternal, therefore the Tathagata is eternal. Nga means that actions are impermanent, therefore it is called Nga. Tsa means conduct, because all sentient beings must be completely matured, therefore it is called Tsa. Tsha means that the Tathagata abides brightly like an umbrella with white dharmas, therefore it is called Tsha. Dza means that like Dza, liberation is indestructible, therefore it is called Dza. Dzha means to quickly shake off the afflictions, therefore it is called Dzha. Nya means the supreme word of knowing the Dharma of Suchness, therefore it is called Nya. Ta means like Ta, a part of Jambudvipa.
