Yes. It was taught: To perceive suffering as happiness is a reversal. To perceive happiness as suffering is a reversal. Therefore, to say that the Tathagata is impermanent is sinful and suffering. To say that the Tathagata is completely extinguished like a fire that has consumed its fuel is sinful and suffering. To meditate on oneself as not suffering, and to say that the Tathagata is impermanent, this is a reversal. To perceive happiness as suffering is a reversal, for if one meditates that the Tathagata is permanent, thinking that one will become attached to a person, and meditating in this way, thinking it is suffering, this is the reversal of those who perceive happiness as happiness, this is the first reversal. To perceive impermanence as permanence is a reversal. To perceive permanence as impermanence is a reversal. Therefore, if one constantly meditates on emptiness, one thinks that one's life will be shortened, so instead of meditating on impermanence as emptiness, one thinks that the result of meditation will lengthen one's life, this is also a reversal, this is the second reversal. To perceive selflessness as self is a reversal. To perceive self as selflessness is a reversal. Therefore, worldly people believe in self, and just like worldly people, there is no self in the Buddha's teachings, and even the name of the Tathagatagarbha does not exist, so meditating on selflessness is the third reversal. To perceive impurity as purity is a reversal. To perceive purity as impurity is a reversal. Therefore, the Tathagata is permanent, not a body of flesh but a body of flesh, because it is connected by flesh, blood, and tendons, it is impure. To think that both the Dharma and the Sangha will disappear after attaining liberation is a reversal of perceiving purity as impurity. All of my body is impure, if there is nothing called pure, then meditating that my body is pure is to cling to impurity as purity. I also where there is nothing

Thinking that it will disappear is like meditating on purity as impurity, which is a dharma that makes one ignorant. It should be understood that this is the fourth inversion. Question: World Honored One, I have now become a person with correct views, and before this I had inverted views. World Honored One, what is the situation? In the twenty-five existences, do we say there is a self or is there no self? Answer: The so-called self is the meaning of the Tathagatagarbha. The Buddha-nature exists in all sentient beings, but it is obscured by various aspects of afflictions, and even though they have it themselves, sentient beings cannot see it. For example, in a large city, a poor family has an inexhaustible gold mine. There lives a poor woman who does not know that there is treasure under her house. At this time, a resourceful person said to the woman: Aunt, come here, I will give you wages, go to work in my field. She said to him: Master, I will not go. If you can point out the treasure to my son, then I will go. She said such a reasonable thing. The man said to her: Aunt, as soon as my son is born from you, I will give you inexhaustible jewels and gold mines. Then she said to him: When have you ever given me anything, you are just mocking me. Then he said to her: There is treasure in your house, but you yourself do not know it, how can others see it? Then she said that I should get it, and thus she begged him. Then he dug out the treasure from that house and gave it to her. Then she saw it and was amazed, just like taking refuge in him. Similarly, son of good family, the Tathagatagarbha exists in all sentient beings, but it is only that it cannot be seen. It is like that poor woman herself having treasure. Son of good family, I should correctly indicate that all sentient beings have the Tathagatagarbha, just like that poor woman does not know even when she is indicated to have a great treasure, there is

All sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata, but it is obscured by afflictions, so sentient beings do not understand or see it. The Tathagata reveals it to them, and they rejoice and take refuge in the Tathagata. Question: World Honored One, I now understand that there is the realm of the Buddha. The Tathagata who teaches the precepts, I regard him as a person with skillful means. I regard all sentient beings as poor women. The Buddha said: Good son, again, for example, there is a woman who has a very young and sick son. At that time, this woman invited a doctor, and the doctor fed the child medicinal ghee mixed with sugar, and warned the child's mother: 'Sister, do not breastfeed the child until the medicinal ghee is digested.' In order to prevent the child from sucking milk, the woman smeared her breasts with neem leaf juice and warned her child, saying: 'Child, my breasts are coated with poison, child, do not suck.' After that, the child felt thirsty and thought of sucking milk, but the breasts smelled of neem leaves, and the child cried and stayed until the end of the ritual. After the ritual, the woman washed her breasts with water and said to the child, 'Child, now you can suck milk.' But the child thought it was poisonous and could not suck, so he sat crying and did not even look. Then she said again: 'Before, it was because your medicinal ghee was not digested, so in order not to let you suck milk, I smeared my breasts with neem leaf juice. Because I was worried that it would harm you or even cause death, I did not let you suck. Now you can suck.' Then she let him suck, and the child slowly sucked the milk. Good son, in the same way, I used to be for the sake of taming, just like digesting the child's medicinal ghee. In order for the monks to destroy worldly views, in order to truly reveal the greatness beyond the world, in order to truly reveal the falsity of the worldly self, and to completely purify the body through the practice of non-self.
