Gods of neither perception nor non-perception, with form and without form, but if not form, how do they exist and how do they move? Please explain. The reply was: This is the realm of the Buddha, not the realm of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, so put it aside. Similarly, liberation is also with form and without form, and if it is not form, then it is the realm of the Buddha, not the realm of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. It was asked: Bhagavan, please explain liberation in the manner of the great Nirvana of the Tathagata's complete passing away. The reply was: Well done, well done, son of the lineage. Liberation is the separation from all bonds. Again, the reply was: That which is called liberation, because it is unborn, is completely separated from all bonds. Just as a son is born from the merit of the union of parents, liberation is not born in that way, liberation abides in its own realm. Unborn means that just as the essence of butter naturally abides in its own nature, the Tathagata is not born from the union of father and mother, but the Tathagata shows father and mother for the sake of those to be tamed. Whatever is liberation is the Tathagata, because the unarisen arises. For example, if seeds are sown in a bean pod or a bean grain in the spring month of Ra, or in the summer season, or in the autumn month of Thachung, sprouts will arise from them, but liberation is not like that. Whatever is unborn is liberation. Whatever is liberation is the Tathagata, that is, unborn. The Tathagata is only unborn, and the Tathagata should not be fully examined as if there is or is not a sprout. The Tathagata is naturally unborn, therefore it is unborn. Unborn means unmade. Unmade means that just as cities, temple roofs, and gatehouses are made, liberation is not like that, whatever is unmade is liberation. That is the Tathagata. Uncompounded, uncompounded, means that just as a potter makes a vessel, and then it will eventually be destroyed, liberation is not like that.

It is not like that. Liberation is without birth and without cessation. Whatever is liberation, that is the Tathagata, without birth and without death. Whatever is unborn, unpacified, without aging, without death, and unconditioned, that is the Tathagata. Therefore, the Tathagata goes to great complete nirvana. What is called without aging and without death is not liberation, such as white hair, aging, sickness, the law of death, and the concept of the nature of conditioned things. Whatever is without the above-mentioned things is liberation, therefore it is called without aging. Whatever is liberation, that is the Tathagata. The Tathagata has no white hair, aging, or change of conditioned things. Therefore, if the Tathagata is a body without aging, how can one see death? What is called without disease is the nature of not being afflicted by the sudden four hundred and four diseases, and not having a body with many faults. Therefore, liberation is without disease. Whatever is liberation, that is the Tathagata. If the Tathagata has no habit of disease, how can the Dharmakaya have disease? Therefore, the Tathagata is without disease. What is called without death is without death like the human body. That is liberation, because there is not even the name of "being exhausted or dying at a certain time." Separation from death is liberation. Whatever is liberation, that is the Tathagata. It is impossible to say that one who possesses such qualities will die. How can a body as hard as a diamond be impermanent and perish? Therefore, the Tathagata is without death. What is called without affliction, liberation does not mean becoming filthy and impure, but being as clear as a white lotus. Whatever is liberation, that is the Tathagata. Showing the faults of various desires should be seen as a means. Therefore, the Tathagata is not afflicted. What is called without outflows is
