O, Upali! If the Thus Come One were merely and correctly focused on the Dharma, and had already become a fabrication, then he would be despised by all the world. Among all the Dharmas, that which is without falling back and without exhaustion is called liberation. If that were the case, it would become meaningless. Venerable Manjushri, do not say that the Thus Come One has become a fabrication. For example, a poor young woman, impoverished, without support, afflicted by illness, suffering in the intermediate state, troubled by pregnancy, went to a house without support. That woman gave birth to a son, and there, others who had lived there before drove her out. That miserable woman, having just given birth, carrying the red-mouthed child, set out for a land of good harvest. On the way, she was endangered by the harm of flesh flies, gnats, wind, sun, and poisonous snakes. She wanted to cross the great Ganges River, but was unable to cross it. Carrying that boy, she died in the Ganges. Due to the special merit of her love for that boy, she separated from her body and was born in the world of Brahma after death. By what kind of special merit of love was she born? She thought, 'Even if I die, I will liberate this little boy without reservation.' Just like that, Venerable Manjushri, a noble person who wishes to extract the noble Dharma should not regard the Thus Come One as having become a fabrication, nor should he change his perception. Even if there are no such eyes on the body, one should have the correct view that the Bhagavan is inconceivable. By showing the teachings that benefit all sentient beings, it should be shown that the Thus Come One is unconditioned. One who extracts the noble Dharma should strive as the poor young woman risked her life to save her son from the Ganges River. In order to take the method of extracting the noble Dharma, one should generate the mind that the Thus Come One is unconditioned. If one sees the Thus Come One as unconditioned, one will realize the meaning of liberation that one should accomplish for oneself. Venerable Manjushri, for example,

A certain person was walking on the road and became tired, so he lay down inside his house. At that time, the house suddenly burst into flames. The person thought, "If I am burned by the fire, I will surely die." Because he possessed a sense of shame and embarrassment, he tightly wrapped himself in his clothes and died with mindfulness. Due to the virtuous result of his mind possessing shame and embarrassment, he became king of the Thirty-Three (Trayastriṃśa) eighty times, king of Brahma (Brahmā) a hundred thousand times, and also became a universal monarch many times in the human world. Moreover, he was not born in the lower realms, but repeatedly obtained the transmission of happiness from one to another. Just like that, Manjushri, you should be as cautious as those noble beings. Have a sense of shame. Do not let the Tathagata enter into the path of conditioned phenomena. If a fully virtuous bhikshu says that the Tathagata is not unconditioned, but says that the Tathagata is conditioned, it is better to die as a heretic. If the Tathagata is indeed unconditioned, but someone says that the Tathagata is conditioned, then those people are speaking falsely. Those who say that the Tathagata is conditioned will go to hell like returning to their own home. Manjushri, do not regard the Tathagata as being like conditioned phenomena. From now on, when wandering in samsara, repeatedly contemplate and realize only the wisdom that the Bhagavan is unconditioned. Having done this, through the result of meditation, you will quickly become like the Tathagata, possessing the thirty-two marks. Then, the blacksmith's son, Stimulator, who had become Manjushri, said this: "Good, good! May you live long! A son of good family should act in this way. Son of good family, you have understood that the Tathagata is permanent, enduring, unconditioned, and stable. In this way, you will soon become like the Tathagata, simply by understanding through abandoning conditioned phenomena." The Buddha himself also...
